"When the Wisdom of the Grandmothers is finally Heard and Respected, the World will heal." ~Hopi Prophecy

The American Indians despite a variety of beliefs and traditions shared many customs and ideas.  Among them was to consult the grandmothers of the tribe when a big decision was to be made.  The grandmothers often had the final say on important matters.  Today the martial patriarchs run the world and the grandmothers are shut up with trifle trinkets and steered to be concerned with emotions, relations and finance rather than being caretakers of the family, the family of Earth Mother I mean.

I am an astute observer and as an astute observer I am capable of being the fly on the wall, unnoticed.  As an astute observer I also always question the observer effect and I always question whether or not my observations are valid.  I explore the possibility that I am projecting and question I am only observing microcosmic situations rather than macrocosmic reflections.  I admit that it is possible my observations are based on the bubble I exist in and that perhaps I am wrong about seeing what I see and applying it to the bigger picture, but I admit I have explored this idea for a longtime silently.  I don't mean to say every grandmother is materialistic, just the vast majority.

Women are brainwashed to be materialistic and to teach materialism.  Society is brainwashed. Women are no exception and perhaps women have more psychological ticks geared toward them than men.  Women are brainwashed to think of themselves as princesses in their own storybook, separate from the woes of the world, who ought to have an apartment in New York City, a condo in Hawaii and quarterly vacations so as to shop for original stuff.  Women are trained to separate and close themselves off from everything but their immediate concerns and family and they teach their sons and daughters to become and obtain.  Women are more materialistic and selfish than ever before and are losing the matriarchal wisdom that inspired peoples to turn to them for advice and ideas in the past.

Perhaps it is the microcosm I exist in, perhaps I am brainwashed and my observations are thusly misguided, but I think not, I think most of the grandmothers of the western world are primarily concerned with their own selfish storybook.  The grandmothers of the world teach selfishness and materialism and separation from Mother Earth.  The grandmothers do not teach us to be caring and loving, but to obtain.  The grandmothers of the world have raised little materialistic worldlings.  And now without our grandmothers direction the world has reached the point where toxic burden of our selfish culture of separation has saturated entirety.  We have reached the point of toxic saturation where all is poisoned and even grandmothers scoff at caring for the Earth Mother instead of getting yours.

We are all brainwashed.  It happens to the best of us.  Our thinking is steered, the jingles are in our heads.  Today we need the grandmothers of the world to snap us out of it.  We need the grandmothers of the world to be concerned with more than fashion and weddings.  We need the grandmothers of the world to teach giving and not getting.  We need our grandmothers to teach caring and compassion not train more materialistic cliff dwelling lemmings.  The grandmothers of the world need to teach the children caring wisdom for the Earth Mother is reeling from a brainwashed society digging at her guts, spewing radioactive and petrolithic toxins, poisoning all future generations.
