When Will Mankind Accept the Truth About Genesis?

Here we are again, trying to open the blind eyes of creationists, and yelling into the deaf ears of skeptics, about the truth of Genesis.  When will creationists stop their foolishness concerning “young Earth” doctrines, and false teachings about theistic evolution, and come together with the truth to expose the false secular conclusion of evolution?

Evolution is a false conclusion of the fossil record of death (not of “life”), and words can not describe the idiocy of the scientific community that continues to support such a theory, and advocating the teaching of such in public schools.  There is no such evidence to support the conclusion.  It is supported because it is the most convenient avenue the atheists can use to advance their agenda.

When (misguided) creationists try to have an alternate conclusion presented, the atheists come up with the line “that’s not science, and there is no evidence for creation”.  They are afraid of the competition.  The world of science has no idea how our universe began, and how life began on Earth.  But when it comes to either teaching “Santa Claus coming down the chimney”, or “the virgin birth”, they gladly pick Santa Claus because it denies the existence of God.

But creationists are not much better.  For over 18 years, the truth of Genesis has been available, and they fail to even examine it.  They want to cling to their old false and foolish doctrines, such as the dinosaurs and dimetrodons dying in the flood of Noah, the days of Genesis chapter one being long ages instead of 24-hour days, God using evolution to develop life, and there being no death on Earth until Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden (in 4267 BC).  That is all nonsense, and it borders on stupidity because of their refusal to seek the truth of Genesis.

There are no “creation accounts” in Genesis.  God did not show Creation Week to Moses, therefore Moses didn’t write about creation.  Creationism refuses to examine what the Genesis text is about.  They prefer to teach the same old failed doctrines that not make sense, and which misrepresent the Word of God.  There are no myths in Genesis.

What we should be teaching in public schools is the “observations of Moses”.  They convey what happened in the ancient prehistoric past of Earth’s history, and how life developed into what we now see.

But who is taking the time to examine the facts of Genesis?  Who is willing to learn the truth about Genesis?  We have fools that are quick to run their mouth about something that they have not taken the time to understand.  Did you know that Genesis specifically declares the existence of prehistoric mankind, and that mankind was not made in “God’s image” until about 64 Million BC?  Don’t be a fool and laugh.  That is exactly what Genesis is telling us.  But creationism and theology refuse to re-examine their doctrines, and want to keep their heads in the sands of ignorance.

God did not create this Earth just for a bunch of prehistoric animals to roam around in!! God created Earth for mankind, which he put on Earth at the beginning, on the Sixth Day of Creation Week.  When will mankind accept the truth about Genesis?

Ephraim's not insane. 'Insane' is a legal definition only.

I have seen 'his'? writing before here and 'he'? needs to spend more time explaining how he got this right and everyone else got it wrong. Show at least one example and how he arrived at that conclusion. Like the 64 million years comment on humanity. Just one million years before the K-T extinction event. I don't recall the Bible talking about anything in the millions of years time span. A number too high for them. The Greeks and ancient Hindus had higher numbers but not the Hebrews that I am aware of.

He has done this before, the same old regurgitation without illumination. There is always some one who sees the 'truth' that millions of others have missed. Sometimes it is true but in other cases it is just delusion feeding narcissistic tendencies.

Just remember that Ephraim is in a large majority, in general, even if his take on it is in a minority.

Did not attribute article

I thought the author's name was on the web site but apparently not.  That article is by Bishop Shelby Spong.

Santa Claus

Parents perpetuate the myth of Santa Claus because it is based on generosity, good will, & the exquisite innocence of children who believe that adults will do very nearly anything to make them happy. Only perverse morons with disfigured human values believe that the myth of Santa Clause is anything other than a benign allegory useful in parent’s efforts to teach their children about the connection between parental love, God, & the transcendent need to take care of each other no matter what. It is difficult for a rational, compassionate person to believe in talking snakes. It is particularly difficult to take seriously anyone’s views when they try to convince us that the named snake can condemn us to unimaginable suffering & pain simply because we can’t figure out how to believe in talking snakes who happen to have “issues” with apples. If Cummings, or Ephraim, or Bishop Spong would share his “facts” with us, then maybe we could help him find a way out of his dark gobbledygook & put them in some shareable form we could all use to save this depraved world. Somehow, if we all pulled that off, I am convinced he’d find another focus for his peculiarly intense hysteria.

I believe you misunderstand Bishop Spong's comment

This may not have been the best article that I could have posted by Bishop Spong.  He is usually very clear that Genesis is a collection of different myths coming from different cultures of the ancient world.  Genesis for example has two different creation stories.  The first chapter has God creating the world from nothing in six days (he took a break on the 7th).  Then abruptly we have a different story of Adam and Eve and a creation story that is at odds with the first.  Literalist have problems with this and come up with rather contrived explanations.  Bishop Spong feels that we have to embrace the truth whether it is Darwinism, Big Bang Theory, the vastness of the universe, or Continental Drift.  After all if you feel the Noah's Arc story is an article of faith, you will be in some serious trouble when you sit down and put your thinking cap on.  Some stories are historical in nature and some like Job (which really gives me trouble) are more alegorical.  Nothing was actually written by God himself, but by human beings.  It is like the analogy of the car wreck witnessed by 20 different people and there are twenty different stories and a lot of them totally wrong and others at odds with each other.  Everyone explains it differently.  Faith and science are two different things and should be kept separate as much as possible because they ask two very different things of their practitioners.

Genesis

Greetings,

Ephraim, trying looking at it from the point of view that the Bible is an historical book, with works from many authors, all with a different slant on the times they lived in.   There is not a single "truth" that everyone can get on board with; if there were, you would not be writing.

Mythological Biblical Absurdities

The Bible is nothing but a mythological book designed to keep people confused and subservient.
