The people of tribal areas situated on Pak-Afghan border have been passing through a very hard time--as on the one hand the terrorists have been killing them, but on the other hand security forces deployed by the government of Pakistan have been targetting them. Most of the tribesmen are unaware as to why they are being made a target.

A poweful bomb blast in Khyber Agency has shaken the whole tribal areas. The terrorists have chosen the time for this big attack in which more than 100 people have been killed when US President Barack Obama was revealing his new plan about war on terrorism in Pakistan and Afghanistan. The terrorists want the US to not give attention to tribal areas which remained safe havens for terrorists for years.

I think Barack Obama is absolutely right in his assertion that terrorists have been using tribal areas for carrying out big terrorist attacks on the United States. There will be no denying the fact terrorists are still enjoying support of some officials, who are working within the system of Pakistan. They have encouraging the terrorists.

The government of Pakistan is fully aware of presence of heavy weapons in the tribal areas, but it has been taking no step for collecting these weapons from the people. These weapons were provided to the tribesmen during the war against former USSR in Afghanistan. This is the need of the hour that now tribesmen must be disarmed. US President Barack Obama can tell the Pakistani leadership in clear terms to establish rule of law in tribal areas. This is the only solution to terrorism in the whole world.

I think there is no justification for anyone to keep the tribal areas lawless. Pakistan has full responsibility to establish rule of law in the tribal areas. The tribal areas are the part of Pakistan. If the terrorists have been using the tribal areas for carrying out terrorist attacks anywhere in the world, then the rulers of Pakistan can rightly be held responsible for these acts. At the moment the rulers of Pakistan have two choices. Either they leave the tribal areas or accept it. But one thing must be kept in mind that establishment of rule of law in tribal areas is the only solution to the problem of terrorism.
