Supreme Court Justices in less than 24 Hours
So, if you had any trouble getting your order through at the WND Shop today, please try again now.
In case you missed it:
On Friday, a case that challenges President-elect Barack Obama's name on the 2008 election ballot citing questions over his citizenship is scheduled for conference at the U.S. Supreme Court.
Because the Supreme Court justices do not accept faxes or emails or telephone calls, there is only one way to make your voice heard in time for Friday's hearing - overnight delivery of your letters.
To make that process easier for you, WND has devised a plan to get the following letter sent on your behalf by FedEx to each of the nine justices by Friday's hearing:
One First Street, NE
Washington, DC 20543
Dear Associate Justice ___________:
If the Constitution doesn't mean precisely what it says, then America is no longer a nation under the rule of law.
A nation no longer under the rule of law is, by definition, under the rule of men.
Article 2, Section 1 of the Constitution clearly stipulates "No person except a natural born Citizen" shall be eligible to serve as president of the United States. That statement has clear meaning, and the Supreme Court of the United States is one of the controlling legal authorities in ensuring that the Constitution is enforced - even if doing so may prove awkward.
With the Electoral College set to make its determination Dec. 15 that Barack Hussein Obama Jr. be the next president of the United States, the Supreme Court is holding a conference Friday to review a case challenging his eligibility for the office based on Article 2, Section 1.
I urge you to take this matter most seriously - and judge it only on the clear, unambiguous words of the Constitution: A president must, at the very least, be a "natural born citizen" of the United States.
There is grave, widespread and rapidly growing concern throughout the American public that this constitutional requirement is being overlooked and enforcement neglected by state and federal election authorities. It's up to the Supreme Court to dispel all doubt that America's next president is truly a natural born citizen of the United States.
I urge you to honor the Constitution in this matter and uphold the public trust.
Sincerely,
Ross Curro

How's this for a diabolical scheme ...
... setting-up Obama to be taken down, and throwing the nation into total chaos. If indeed USSC says Obama's presidency is illegal and removes him riots would naturally insure and most likely trigger a free-fall depression (which is coming anyway). What would be the repercussions could be any one's guess, McCain becomes president? New election, as Bush & Cheney remain for another year? An amendment allowing those not naturally born to become president and making it retroactive? A ruling such as the latter would open-up the door for Schwarzenegger to run. Whatever, if this comes to pass than Obama was set-up, or may be a willing participant, in a plot to undermine yet once more this country by forces that rule beyond any boarders. When you world is nothing but a chessboard for a few elites they can play the game in any fashion, change any rules, and rig it so they always come out on top as we the people become the sacrificial pawns. Some of us pawns know what's happening, many others are simply sacrificial dupes. by Mr M (8 articles, 0 quicklinks, 66 diaries, 2845 comments [654 recommended, 27 rejected]) on Friday, Dec 5, 2008 at 9:01:33 AM

This "issue" mainly illustrates the paranoia of Democrats.
There is zero chance of the Court challenging Obama's election. This is not because the Court is particularly virtuous -- which of course it's not -- but because it's very interested in maintaining the stability of the social order. The saying goes, "Supreme Court justices read the newspapers, too" -- just like everyone else. They are fully aware that the population's willingness to be ruled by the federal government requires at least the appearance of a certain degree of pseudo-democracy. It doesn't have to be genuine democracy, but it has to at least look vaguely like it -- enough to fool most of the population. If the Court actually tried to void the Nov 4 election on the basis of a minor technicality, even the stuporous, docile American population wouldn't stand for it. Riots would ensue. The Court is far more interested in avoiding mass insurrections, than they are in stealing elections for Republicans, & in cheating Democrats. Therefore, they will completely ignore this silly non-issue. by Richard Mynick (2 articles, 4 quicklinks, 1 diaries, 1552 comments [255 recommended, 5 rejected]) on Friday, Dec 5, 2008 at 10:43:07 AM

Maybe they're actually doing their job...
It's the SCOTUS's job to dispassionately interpret the Constitution, period. If we are serious about the Rule of Law, then we should abide by it, and not by mob rule or popularity contests. I voted for Obama, and would be terribly disappointed if his election were invalidated. But, I'm rather taken aback by Prof. Miller's position that the person he wants to be president should be president whether his election was legal or illegal. Intellectually, this is just as irresponsible as stopping a recount..... by Mystic Wizard (4 articles, 286 quicklinks, 64 diaries, 201 comments [14 recommended, 0 rejected]) on Friday, Dec 5, 2008 at 11:13:46 PM

Don't let emotions get in the way of the Constitution. Again
besides naturalization, which would eliminate Obama from the out set, There are two ways in which a baby is considered and American. Jus soli-or of the soil. Means the infant was born on American soil. Thus the lament of so many on the right about illegal immigrants having children receiving benefits... Jus sanguine-or of the blood. Born anywhere in the world to an American citizen. All they need to do is to find his mother's birth certificate. This is total rubbish, a childish wish, total whimsy. by Jack Harrington (0 articles, 0 quicklinks, 0 diaries, 676 comments [70 recommended, 0 rejected]) on Sunday, Dec 7, 2008 at 5:34:13 PM
