WHO SHOULD PROTEST SEPT. 11-15TH 2008?

Are you an animal rights activist? Are the companies responsible usually global in nature? Are you an anti-war activist? Are we in a global-war on terror? Are you a Democrat, did you trust them to impeach or end the war? Or are you or have you ever been a Constitutionalist? 911Truther? Are you a student, tired of over crowded class rooms and increased fees? Tired of your government spending our taxes on endless wars and bombs while our roads, bridges and dams go unfixed. While schools and hospitals are forced to close due to lack of funds. Or are you a pissed off Republican who was promised fiscal responsibilty but got excessive pork instead or promised a different Washington while watching one sex scandal after another erupt in your own party.
Tired of the run around, tired of fighting City Hall? Tired of being lied to?
THEN SHUT 'EM DOWN
Our causes are many but now is the time to make our voices as one. From the bright lights in Hong Kong to the truck stops in India. From hospitals in America where patients have died in emergency rooms waiting for hours to be seen, to the blood soaked streets of Palestine, the time is nigh to raise our voices on high tell every King, Dictator and presidential wannabe "Enough is Enough".
WHO'S ON STRIKE?
1) STUDENTS ARE ON STRIKE in Germany due to overcrowding and increased student fees. (Sound familiar?).
2) TRADE UNIONS are on strike in Germany.
Even the police are joining the strike!
Today more Germans than ever before are taking to the streets - most recently civil servants, and national railway and steel industry.
3) WORLD-WIDE TRUCKERS SHUT-DOWN.  With shut downs in England, Ireland, Wales, Spain, New York, etc. over the soaring cost of diesel.
2008 Shut Downs so far-
MARCH 31ST HARRISBURG RALLY
APRIL 1ST SHUT DOWN
APRIL 28TH DC CONVOY
APRIL 30TH DC CONVOY
JUNE 8TH SHUT DOWN IN SPAIN
JULY 1ST SNAIL TRAIL FRENCH STAND-STILL
JULY 2ND SHUT-DOWN IN INDIA
Here’s more on the fuel protests in Asia from the NY Times.
Previous Update: While not approaching the level of the strikes in Spain, it’s now global:
Protests were also staged elsewhere in Europe and across Asia. Around 50,000 Polish lorry drivers held one-hour protests across the country although without blocking roads, the organisers said.
And Dutch truckers announced plans to block roads at 18 points across the country for 30 minutes on Thursday.
In Thailand truck drivers voted to begin strikes next week and block roads to the capital with 400,000 lorries unless the government helps them pay for soaring fuel costs.
While in Hong Kong about 500 minibuses, lorries, garbage trucks and coaches staged a go-slow protest, crippling traffic in a demonstration calling for fuel taxes to be scrapped.
Truckers burned tyres and blocked roads in parts of eastern India angered by fuel price rises but elsewhere in the country calls for strikes were largely ignored.
In South Korea truckers voted to strike on Monday, ignoring a $10.2 billion (£5 billion) government aid package designed to cushion the impact of soaring fuel prices.
4) CAB DRIVERS strike that's just been launched at Orlando International Airport. Most of the drivers are protesting a rate increase by Mears to use their cabs. Mears is the largest cab company to serve the airport.
5) NURSES are on strike. Due to unsafe nurse/patient ratios. Excessive overtime. Insurance cuts, etc.
6) HANDICAPPED are on strike over ADA laws that no one will enforce without a court order. Which requires up to 10 years of litigation. And over a system of abuse that transfers you around from facility to facility until your insurance runs out. Or as Bluecross has done, just dump you on skidrow.
Hundreds of COMMUNITY program WORKERS (who care for the developmentally disabled and troubled youth) organized a one-day strike on May 23, 2007 to urge the state legislature to increase its funding for their programs. Agencies included HARC, Lake Grove, MARC and Whole Life. For more information about their union, District 1199/SEIU, contact www.nehceu.org
7) PORT WORKERS shut down ports May 1st. Iron workers unions have joined the strike demanding an end to a senseless occupation of Iraq.
8) SOCCER MOMS are on strike. Demanding better schools, safer neighborhoods, better daycare, cleaner air, energy independence, infrastructure improvements, community development projects, etc.
On April 16th Governor Schwarzenegger came to Alameda. The Alameda Education Foundation (AEF) helped organize a protest to let the Governor know how we feel about school funding cuts.
9) VOTERS ARE ON STRIKE having been betrayed by Brown and by a Democratic majority in the U.S.
10) Even SHEEPLE ARE ON STRIKE  after watching their lawmakers rob the treasury in response to the Sub Prime mortgage mess.  SUB-PRIME PROTEST
11) FISHERMEN IN FRANCE have been protesting the increasing cost of oil. This Sunday they set up a road blockade using burning tires to prevent access to the oil terminal in the port of La Rochelle.
12) GRAPE GROWERS in the south of France united along with a lot of people show solidarity last Wednesday to protest the rising cost of diesel gasoline (gazole). The government here charges a hefty tax which is lessened for farmers, fishers, etc. but NOT ENOUGH according to this group of strikers and protesters.
13) 911TRUTH plans protest in Ottawa on Sept. 11th.
14) JULY 4TH ANTI-WAR PROTEST   Protests around the World in July 2008 against Bush, War in Iraq, Iran and NWO. Footage from Virginia, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, London, DC, Berkeley, Pittsburg.
15) GLOBAL GENERAL STRIKE called for Sept. 11-15th
16) HUNGER STRIKE called for Sept.11th.
17) NATIONAL CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE DAY called for Sept.11th.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH WE'RE ON STRIKE!
Join with millions across the globe to tell our leaders 'enough is enough'. We're mad as hell and we're not going to take it anymore. This Sept. 11th through the 15th no work, no school, no shopping.
Spread the word. Use email, faxes, flyers, posters, call-in radio programs, Youtube,   OpEdNews, etc., etc. Shout it from the rooftops.
