We always knew Bush is an idiot.

Only the Lame-Duck-in-Chief George Bush could turn a silk purse of an interview into a sack of crap by questioning if Barack Obama is a "real" American.

In a CNN interview on Nov. 11, Bush did just that by subtly questioning President-elect Barack Obama’s patriotic American-ness.

In Bush‘s own loathsome words: I am just as American as he is American...

To those of us who pay attention, Bush’s statement screamed the malicious campaign rhetoric of John McCain and Sarah Palin, who constantly accused Obama of not being a “real” American and a Taliban Manchurian Candidate in waiting to see the Queen of Hearts be flipped out of a anti-American deck of cards.

And here we thought we buried those unpatriotic, anti-American underhanded slurs when we elected Obama. It’s unconscionable that the uncouth, worse-than-trailer-park-trash Fart-in-Public-in-Chief would keep that canard alive.

Everything was going along swimmingly. Bush was full of praise for Obama, appeared to warmly welcome him and Michelle to the White House, and exhibited seeming eagerness for the transition to proceed smoothly with full courtesy shown to the new first family by the White House staff.

The purse of finely spun pure silk was magnificently woven and shone in all its sparkling glory of welcoming the new, when the silk worm turned, bared it’s ugly partisan, un-American-mongering teeth and turned the silk purse into a sack of crap.

When John McCain said “that one over there,” in referring to Barack Obama at a presidential debate, we interpreted it as rude and disrespectful, not as a senior moment of instant name recall loss, which would have been yet another really good reason to not vote for him.

We already had one brain-dead president; we don’t need another one.

Bush’s last dig at the end of the interview was uncalled for.

Does Bush think we need reminding that Obama is an “American”?

Does Bush in his black heart of hearts really think Obama is not an American? I believe the answer to both is a resounding YES!

Why? why? why? did no one on the right question Sarah and Todd Palin’s American-ness, patriotism and loyalty?

The right acted as if Todd never was a six-year member in good standing of the Alaska Separatist Party, and Sarah didn’t speak at one of their gatherings and heartily welcomed them with open arms, a charming smile, a nod and a wink.

If Obama were pure white, born and raised in Podunk, I-o-way, such a thought would never in a million years have popped into Bush's empty head where there's plenty of room for idiotic, faint praise damning thoughts.
