Urgent Action Alert:
New York State Marriage Vote Scheduled!
This alert is vital.
The New York State Senate is scheduled to reconvene tomorrow, Tuesday, November 10, and marriage equality is on the agenda. The State Assembly has passed this bill, and Governor Paterson has pledged to sign it into law.
The only roadblock is the New York State Senate. Senator Ruben Diaz Sr and the "gang of three" have pledged to block this bill and fight Marriage Equality and Civil Rights. We must fight back today!
I urge you to contact as many New York State Senators, as many times as possible TODAY and again Tomorrow!
You do not need to reside in their districts, or in New York State to do this.
Write up a little telephone script, an email and Fax, and send it to every New York State Senator you can.
Please also pass this on to everyone in your address book.

Subject: Urgent Action Needed: Marriage Vote Scheduled!

Dear Friend,
A state senate vote on marriage equality in New York is approaching.
Call your state senator today and ask them to vote for marriage equality!
Sen. Owen Johnson - (518) 455-3411 or (631) 669-9200
We are one step away from making marriage equality a reality in New York State. The New York Assembly passed marriage equality legislation earlier this year and Governor Paterson has pledged to sign it, so the only step left is the New York Senate.
The Senate is scheduled to reconvene tomorrow, Tuesday, November 10, and marriage equality is on the agenda.
Take action today and call your state senator, Sen. Owen Johnson (518) 455-3411 . Politely tell Sen. Johnson to vote for marriage equality.
Give the person who answers the phone your name and address, and then tell them that you want the senator to vote for marriage equality. These calls should only take a minute, but they are extremely important.
Even if you've already written or called your senator, make a final call today and ask your friends, family members and colleagues to do the same.
