Although the CIA eventually rejected the Bush-Cheney plan to assassinate alleged terrorists around the world, Cheney just got the Pentagon to do it. All this attention to the CIA plan obscures the fact that U.S. military hit squads actually did go out and kill people for Bush and Cheney.

This was reported on 13 July 2009 by the Guardian newspaper (UK) in an article that you can read at the following URL: click here

It has been reported that Cheney's assassination plan was executed by Lt. General Stanley McCrystal, who headed the Joint Special Forces Command from 2003 until 2008 and were carried out by "Special Mission Units" under his command. In May 2009, President Obama selected Lt. General McCrystal to take over command of all U.S. forces in Afghanistan.

Congress must investigate these U.S. military hit squads. And the Obama administration must punish whoever was responsible for carrying out Cheney's assassination orders, which may include Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, General Robert Gates--who succeeded Rumsfeld as Defense Secretary and has been retained in office by President Obama--and Lt. General McCrystal, if they are found to have been involved.
