This is crazy. Al Qaeda released a statement confirming the death of Bin Laden. I say it's crazy because now I'm starting to actually believe that he's dead. Obama's handling of the narrative had not convinced me, or, more to the point, his handling had actually raised doubts in my mind that more logical handling would not have raised.

So, learning that Al Qaeda is confirming what Obama is asking us to believe reassures me that Bin Laden is dead.

It still raises some conspiracy-type questions. So far, the reports of AL Qaeda's confirmation are very sketchy-- one sentence from ahram.org states, " Al-Qaeda confirmed the death of its leader Osama bin Laden, in a statement posted on jihadist Internet forums on Friday, the US monitoring group SITE Intelligence reported."

It doesn't say the Navy Seals killed him. There's this lurking fear in the back of my head, that like many have said, Al Qaeda was a part of the CIA and Neocon team that perpetrated the Iraq and Afghan wars.

I'm not sayin' it's so, just that it leaves the door open. I am saying I continue to not trust the military to report the truth, starting with the commander in chief.

Bottom line, with the burial at sea, the refusal to even show members of congress or leading media figures photos or videos, it has taken a report from Al Qaeda to convince me.
