Something is happening!
I spoke to a new OEN volunteer-- she was at an "occupation" protest in Portland last night. Occupations are happening all over America. Unions are getting involved. 

Writing this is giving me chills, as I think about the possibilities. People, average people, screwed people, out of work people, people betrayed by the legislators they voted for-- they're waking up to realize how badly they've been treated. 

People are coming out into the streets because going into voting booths has not helped them. People are joining "occupation" protests because they've realized that things are getting so bad that they have to do something.

I'll be going to Freedom Square in Washington DC from Wednesday through Sunday. So will at least two other Opednews.com editors and many other writers, probably more like scores of us. 

If you can get to DC, great, come. If you can't do it in your own hometown. Find out what's already planned. If nothing's planned take some initiative and make it happen. 

We are on the verge of something really big happening. REALLY, REALLY big. Be a part of it.
