The Duality of White Privilege
People of Color agree that there is something called "White Privilege." It is common to discuss it in terms of how it harms People of Color. But what is not identified and what is not discussed is how White Privilege, in fact harms the people who benefit from it, as well as the people who are subjected to it.
My Journey to the East
Many white people believe that if they don't promote "de jure" or otherwise overt forms of racism that they are not racist. But this is not true.
As a young black teen, I believed something similar until I took a trip to Switzerland. When I was nineteen I left Stanford University to try and find some answers to life's questions. I left Stanford for a quarter because I could not find those answers there.
