I am taxed enough already and I have no use for the federal government which is always on my back. I will not use anything that my federal taxes currently go toward. My pledge includes, but is not limited to, the following:

I will forfeit my Social Security benefits. My stocks should be good enough for my retirement.

I will forfeit my Medicare benefits.

I will stop using United States currency. Maybe Monopoly money will work.

I will only use methods of transportation regulated or funded exclusively by state and local taxes. I will figure out how to get across state lines on my own.

I will only frequent businesses that did not receive any bailout money. I guess I will put my savings in my socks.

I will refuse to use rights given by the federal government, even to my disadvantage. If I have a handicap, I will try to find a state law instead of using the Americans with Disabilities Act.

I will refuse to use the United States Postal service. For letters, I will just hand deliver them. I guess I won't be complaining to my Congressperson any more.

I will not watch television or listen to any radio station regulated or licensed by the FCC. I am going to learn smoke signals.

I will decline any medicine or other scientific advancement made possible by research funded by the federal government. I hope I do not need dialysis, the funding for which has been made possible by Medicare for over 35 years.

I will refuse the care of a physician who received federal grants or loans in paying for college or medical school. Who's ever heard of a doctor in debt because of medical school loans?

In exchange for this, I will receive a badge made from sweatshop labor and will be excused from paying federal taxes!
