D'Anne Burley is a former Deputy Court Clerk in Illinois and worked within the justice system for years. She is blowing the whistle on corruption within the Illinois Judicial System and the misuse of campaign contributions by government officials. Burley is currently working in the media while also making personal connections with additional whistle blowers, who are former employees of both the Justice System and or employed with privatized commercial companies.

All who, she hopes will assist her in proving these company officers are receiving government backed earmarked grants, gratuities and or other perks because of their political campaign donations, and the fact these companies know they will be rewarded for doing so.

Corruption In Local Government & The Courts

D'Anne alleges that elected officials within local government and the courts are involved in the unlawful practice of accepting campaign contributions, and in return, awarding government funded contracts to their contributors. Which is illegal and or unethical. And because of this ongoing problem, she believes there is a rising issue of corruption in Illinois that is being covered up and hid from the public.

She faces an ongoing retaliation for being a whistle blower. "The very nature of these corrupt and unlawful practices, (which she has reported over the years) is causing my family and I to become victims of an ongoing conspiracy to financially bankrupt and cause harm to us and anyone who helps me to expose this corruption."

"I am filing documented facts of this corruption and conflicts of interest by political parties" says Burley, to make the general public aware of what some elected officials and government employees are allegedly doing. Burley feels that each of the privatized firms that contribute money to political campaigns, "adds to the vast hidden income that these officials have that can turn them into millionaires within their given office."

Prior to the upcoming election, "we need to demand Audits of the financial records of the courts throughout America. Within these audits, the public needs to be allowed an accounting of private social agencies and others who have offered up funding for campaigns which at the least, can be viewed as a conflicted interest."

Burley believes another issue that needs to be addressed is the privatized jails and prisons systems. How some judges and other officials benefit from rulings that unlawfully cause the incarceration of men, women and children in order to keep private penal systems full. In return, there is a campaign fund relationship between those companies and court officials who are up for election.

Corruption in the Illinois court system is nothing new. Back in the 1980's the FBI conducted "Operation Greylord" that brought down judges and other officials for numerous acts of corruption and taking bribes.

Civil Rights

Her vocal outcry for civil rights reform in Illinois now focuses on the July 2012 award of more than 7 million dollars to 2 black men, Michael Tillman and David Fauntleroy, who were both beaten and tortured by former Chicago's police commander Jon Burge to gain false and coerced confessions. Tillman served more than 23 years for a rape and murder of a 26-year-old woman. Fauntleroy spent 25 years for a 1983 murder. Both cases were thrown out by the courts in 2010.

Burge was convicted of perjury last year for lying about torturing prisoners into making confessions. He was sentenced in January to 4 1/2 years in prison, and reported to a federal penitentiary in Raleigh, N.C., a year ago. Since Burge was fired from the Police Department in 1993, his name has become synonymous with police brutality in Chicago.

Dozens of suspects accused Burge and the detectives under their command of shocking them with a homemade electrical device, suffocating them with typewriter bags, putting guns to their head and playing Russian roulette -- all to force them to confess to murders they didn't commit

Chicago Mayor Daley, was serving as Cook County State's Attorney during many of the Burge torture cases, and remains a central figure in the scandal and a potential witness in many future torture cases.
