The Cosmic Story: The Sagittarius Gemini Full Moon

The Truth Shall Set You Free

This week's Full Moon originated with the Taurus New Moon, when we talked about the ancient creation stories regarding Mother Earth. Creation comes out of chaos, and we are living in chaotic times. This Taurus New Moon called us to conceive a new form of the originating Aries fire, the first manifestation of our new story. While we get this chance to tweek our life script every year, during this time of great cultural transformation, the heavens are inviting us to break free from our old expectations/story, think outside-the-box and re-write a new story where you actively co-create your life as an agent of Spirit in the world.

Taurus calls us to acknowledge the Spirit-in-the-world, the immanence of Spirit. Spirit alive and well in life, calling us to find a form to let it manifest in the world. This is the Divine Feminine at work in the world! Whether through the arts, healing, politics, education, business, storytelling, it is time to engage with our larger communities and see where they need help in moving gracefully into the future. It's time to take our talents and vision into the world!

That's exactly what inspires Gemini--that engagement in the world of people, ideas, knowledge, business. Just about every facet of life is fascinating to Gemini. Guided by Mercury/Hermes, Gemini's energy is busy, busy, busy. Gemini loves moving quickly from one thing, project, idea to another. Gemini eats up information and experience! Yum! Look to the sign Mercury was in at your birth to explore a way to understand how you think. Are you left-brain or more right-brain? How does it manifest in you and how can you work with your Mind to help manifest the life you want?

This Full Moon is in the sign of Sagittarius, opposite the Sun in Gemini. Both these signs energize the Mind--how we perceive the world, understand ourselves and believe something about life. How we Learn, how we Know, how we Think and how we Feel. The Mind engages our Self-Awareness. The Mind is connected to every part of us--the brains which control our physicality, our heart which receives the feeling knowledge of life, our gut which guards and guides us through life.

These two signs shelter both the Galactic Center or Root Chakra of the Milky Way and the Crown Chakra at the Pleiades. The spinal column of our galaxy. We are here on Earth to Know Ourselves as Conscious Spirit. Or so Gemini and Sagittarius would tell us.

While we need the fire of life to warm and inspire us, the material help of Earth to create with and the waters of life to feel juicy and alive, it is the air, our thinking, that shapes what inspires us, using that fire and water to create something with Earth's prima material. This is the gift of Alchemy that our Mind brings us. We have the ability to focus our mind and our will on our intentions so we can manifest them. We can look within ourselves and discover what we really desire. We can become more conscious of our place in the Cosmos. It is only our belief that we cannot do it that keeps us from it. Both our religions and collective flat earth society have instilled in us beliefs that keep us ignorant of our potentials.

Sagittarius is the sign of our beliefs, but also of a state of being where our body, mind and spirit work together to further our understanding of life. This sign originally signified Cosmic Law, the basic laws of universal life cycles. These laws operate on all "domains of existence, from matter to mind to God"[These Kosmic Laws operate in] the cosmos (or the physiosphere) the bios (or biosphere), psyche or nous (the noosphere), and theo (the theosphere or divine domain)." (Ken Wilber, A Brief History of Everything, p. 16).

But then religions shaped our beliefs, and finally capitalism (whose only belief is that work=money=power=consumer) whose laws so often go again cosmic law, with disastrous results. Sagittarius contains the deep patterns that govern all life. Sagittarius seeks the truth but also continues to expand that truth. Sagittarius' knowledge deepens Gemini's information, giving it meaning. With both Saturn and Mars going back over Sagittarius territory, and with Mars embracing this Sagittarius Moon, you have to make up your mind about what you want to believe. And then believe it!

All this power--the works of the Mind--under the control of our unconscious beliefs. Isn't that true? What we believe shapes our world. Our life. What we see or refuse to see. The boundaries we are willing to step over and step through. Our Mind, which is kept in Fear to control us. Or which can give us our Freedom. What Truths do you believe in?

What's the worse that can happen to us. I think most people would say Death. Or that loved ones die. It is Death we are facing--either individually at the end of our lives or collectively with the breakup of culture. So I would advise, just as don Juan told Carlos Castanada--take death as your adviser. With Pluto still swinging his wrecking ball in Capricorn, the structures of our world are going to crumble. But we can re-build. Start with yourself and you'll know what to do when the time calls you to step up and help. It might be now. Or in the future. Make sure you're ready for change by knowing your own Mind.

Our culture needs to evolve. Evolution is hard-wired into Cosmic Law: it is self-transcendence, where we go beyond where we've been while still incorporating the essence of what we've emerged from. We are programed to grow and change, to push the boundaries. We have the capability to grow up and become responsible stewards of the Earth. It seems we've brought ourselves to this crisis point for just such an initiation. A collective and yet personal initiation into responsible adulthood as a species. We are in the beginning stages. Build a strong foundation as we cycle through the year's energy and the work will go smoother.

Both signs in this Full Moon are dual, as are all the mutable (mutable=changes, alternates, joins, meets) signs. Gemini manifests as Twins--two lives with divergent paths, and yet one destiny. The opposites are born here. Mercury, the retrograde ruler of Gemini, has been moving back through Taurus, the sign of manifestation, and is now slowing down to turn around the day after this Full Moon. Our Gemini Mind has got to come together and decide how to build our new story in 3D reality. The opposites have to unite in a third way, a balance of both.

Last week, Mercury was visible as it crossed the path and face of our Sun. Perhaps it symbolizes a new collective Mind. How has your mind changed about your life in the past few weeks? Are you ready to move ahead with your plans? It's time to grow those goals! You'll get your ideas and inspirations from the planets and houses that contain Taurus, Gemini and Sagittarius in your chart. Use the knowledge to hone your ideas.

Gemini's energy is channeled through the Greek god Hermes/ Roman god Mercury. Mercury is not only the god of travelers, business and thieves but also the messenger of the gods and guide of souls through the many dimensions. He could lead people to the underworld or journey to the heavens.
