For his likeability.
His words fell from his lips
Without weight.
He hardly
fought back;
His thoughts
Were in disarray.
He represented his ideas
Without passion,
As if he were in
A bad play.
He represented
The people
Like a somnambulist.
Confidence left
His body;
He twitched
And went bipartisan
Like a compromised
spy,
While his opponent
Joked with the
Two percent
At a 50,000 dollar
A plate crime scene.
