When we think of terrorism or terrorists for that matter, often our minds will focus on those who are Muslims. Just look at the news lately to know this to be true as it pertains to the building of the Mosque blocks away from "Ground Zero'.
According to Dictionary.com the very definition of terrorism is: an act of terrorism or a terrorist act.
Leaving the Mosque issue aside, there is terrorism and terrorists whose victims are women. They are called rapists or those who commit acts of incest.
There has been a frightening thread of Tea Party candidates who do believe that victims or rape or incest should be forced to carry a pregnancy to term which occurred because of these heinous acts.
Every American should ask: just whose side are you on? Is it the victims or the rapists?
In my email box today, I received this ad put forth by NARAL targeting the Tea Party candidate running for NY State Governor, Carl Paladino. Within this ad, clearly this Tea Party candidate believes that both rape and incest victims must be forced to carry these pregnancies to term. If that is not a governmental act of terrorism, I do not know what else is.
Living through both heinous acts is terrorism enough being assaulted by a rapist, but to be forced by one's own government to live this assault day-to-day is complete madness.
Just once, I would love for these Tea Party blowhards to witness a rape victim going through the process so that she can bring her rapist to justice.
Spreading one's legs so that bodily fluids are collected by a doctor is another terrorizing act, but many victims have done so in order to bring their rapist to justice.
Having to face one's rapist in a line-up is reliving the attack over and over, but still many courageous women have done so. Having to go to court in order to bring these monsters to justice is an act of heroism.
Imagine being told should the Tea Party candidates such as Carl Paladino win in November; they must be forced to bring the rapist's offspring into this world. I cannot even fathom how these victims will feel should such an order be declared by big government. A government that is clearly anti-woman and anti-victim.
