To anyone unencumbered by a closed mind and willing to examine the evidence without bias, the facts are clear. Unfortunately the facts are not what the "news" feeds us. The Corporate owned and controlled media that use the people's airwaves (given to them for a mere pittance by their own insiders in "our" government) have turned the Network News and Newspapers into a medium of propaganda.

This is not a right-wing, left-wing issue. A bird cannot fly on wings that disagree on direction. The two party system has become a farce. The right and the left appear to despise each other, while behind closed doors they divvy up the spoils.

President Bill Clinton was in the process of instigating the privatization of Social Security when his little tryst with Monica Lewinski came to light. In order to save his Presidency he had to turn to his base of organized labor etc., groups that were strong supporters of protecting Social Security. Had it not been for the infamous stained dress, good old liberal Bill would have added the privatization of SS to his other Middle Class destroying acts like the Repeal of Glass-Steagall and the passage of NAFTA with the help of Rahm Emanuel, , President Obama's current sidekick.

On the face of it, the White house is a Democrat bastion with Obama residing there. From 1993 to 2001, Bill Clinton -- a supposed liberal -- occupied the White House. In truth, we haven't had a Democrat in the White House since Jimmy Carter, and his expulsion via the tactics of Karl Rove's teacher Lee Atwater have reduced him to an incompetent fool in the eyes of much of the American public.

The Neocon plan for America has indeed been well thought out and displays a certain brilliance despite a complete lack of Christian or Democratic principles. I use the term NeoCon because the Republican leadership isn't Republican. We haven't had a REAL Republican in the White house since 1961, when Dwight D. Eisenhower gave his famous speech on the danger of the Military Industrial Complex to the future of Democracy in America.

Unfortunately -- famous or not -- it seems to have been forgotten and certainly isn't part of our public school system's curriculum, which currently is exchanging items like the civil rights movement for
the ideological rants of folks like Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin. When Eisenhower left office he took the true Republican ideal with him and since then no politician near his caliber has managed to survive in public office.

The Neocons have no more use for a real Republican than they do for a real Democrat. The man who likened the Democrats and the Republicans to the Gambinos and the Genovese called it like it is. Organized crime wasn't wiped out in America, it just elevated itself to a higher position.

And now having already wrecked the economy, picked the middle class' pockets and sent our children to the other side of the world to rob it of its riches at the point of WMDs, their never-ending quest for more, more, more has them plotting to steal the pennies from the eyes of the corpse. Social Security and Medicare are Next.

After 60 years I still retain enough naivete- to believe world peace is possible but being a realist have to face the fact that I won't be around to see it. In my youth some well meaning folks tried to teach me to respect my elders but my (more...)
