The June unemployment rate jumped to 9.2% with only 18,000 new jobs added.

The report indicates that 137,000 jobs were created, mostly in the private sector. But government jobs were cut. That's the goal of the Grover Norquist Republicans. Norquist, of course, has Republican candidates sign commitments that they will never raise taxes, and has said that he wants to starve government so it is so small you can drown it in a bathtub.

The Republicans are succeeding, in state after state-- cutting teachers and other government workers-- so much that the 137,000 private sector jobs that were added to the economy were offset by firings, layoffs and job freezes among government jobs.

This is what Republicans and corporatists want (there are definitely Democrats amongst them.) This is what Libertarians drool over. This is what Ayn Randic followers(the "ic" suffix suggests religion, as in cathol"ic")  think is the way to improve the economy.

The psychopath corporatists in congress and the Whitehouse are doing all they can to skin and harvest the members of the middle class. Unlike hunters who kill their prey first, the members of congress, the banksters and their enablers in the Whitehouse-- they flay their prey while still alive.

It's probably happened to you. Think about your health insurance, if you are lucky enough to still have it.
Are you getting less coverage or paying higher copays or deductibles than a year or two ago? Did you have to shift from an insurance to an HMO or PPO program?  That's an example of how they slice a few millimeters off your skin.

Paying more for gasoline? How about the half gallon of ice cream that's now 3/4s of a half gallon? Or that pound of coffee that's only 11 ounces now? In so many subtle ways, we're paying the same and getting less or paying more. And let's not forget that the GREAT USA is not among the top 25 nations in terms of longevity or broadband, not among the top 20 in terms of education, not among the top 20 in terms of so many other measures.

Face it. The psychopaths and narcissists who call themselves conservative or Libertarian, as well as a lot of collaborator Democrats are enabling the corporatists and top two percent most wealthy to skin you alive.

Below are some horrifying images, provided by PETA, of fur animals being skinned alive in China. They are horrible, but humans are undergoing a boiled frog syndrome version of the same thing here in the US as the shock doctrine is being systematically applied. There is a war in the US against the middle class. You are either a victim or a collaborator, and if you are a collaborator, and not a millionaire, you are probably also a  victim. Do something.

And if you are among those who support the maintenance of the Bush tax breaks for the wealthy, and you're not making over $200,000 a year, stop drinking the libertarian kool-aid. You are functioning like a cuckolded idiot.
