Please pass this to your lists-thanks!

To all in Illinois who want Single Payer Health Care or Medicare for all. We have a Golden opportunity at this time to push this issue here in Illinois. Single Payer Health Care should be ours and could be ours, if we are willing to work hard for it! I know we deserve to just get it from our politicians, willingly, but reality dictates that we will have to take it by political will! So next week is our moment....

     Tues March 24th,
     Legislative Advocacy Day in Springfield in support of
     The Health Care for All Illinois Act, HB 311

We are trying to get together enough activists from the Chicago land area to charter a bus to go to these Advocacy Days, we need 55 people to sign up to fill the bus by Thursday Evening, March 12th and we have 20+ right now.

Could you please consider coming with us.....

      -To lobby your State Reps and Sens,

      -To attend a Press Conference with Rep. Mary Flowers and supporters of HB 311 at the Illinois Capitol building at 1pm

     -To attend the Illinois House Health Committee Hearing on HB 311 at 3pm

     -To attend a Fund Raising Reception Honoring the Sponsors and Supporters of HB 311 at the Governor's Mansion with Quentin Young, MD, Gov Pat Quinn and many other Reps and Sens.

Now is the time to get on the bus and stand up for Single Payer Health Care in Illinois, the more we push it in Illinois, the more it gets pushed on the National stage too!

     The bus will probably leave the Loop area between 8 and 9am on March 24th then arrive in Springfield 4 hours later, the press conference will be at 1pm at the Capitol Building, then after wards is lobbying time for your own Reps and Sens, (make sure you make your own appointments for yourself and your friends by calling their offices), then 3pm will be the hearing somewhere in the Capitol Building, (location to be announced), after wards there will be more time for lobbying your own Reps and Sens before the 6:30pm Reception and Dinner at the Governor's Mansion.
     The Reception is a fund raiser for Single Payer Health Care and has been broken down into $10 for Cocktail Hour and $38 for Dinner, in case you can only afford one or the other. You will still be able to mingle with the elected officials no matter which you choose; just cocktails or dinner too.
     The bus will leave back for Chicago at 9pm and get into town around 1am, cost approximately $30 for the bus.

     This is a golden opportunity to lobby in person in
     Springfield for what we all deserve;
     Single Payer Health Care, Medicare for all, Every One
     In and  No One Left Out!

     You can also lobby for any other bills on your personal
     agenda, your lobby time is your own, but first and
     foremost;
      "The Health Care for All Illinois Act HB 311"!

     Please call or email Judy Weiss for reservations for the
     bus at giudi@sprynet.com or
     773-955-1224 or
     www.healthcareil.org/march24

Thanks so much for considering this important Lobby Day in Springfield!!!
