stirring from her nocturnal slumber
the world sighs deeply, 
turns,
adjusts her aching hips and shoulders,
trying
to capture a few more minutes of
blissful rest
before opening her eyes on
the early morning light,
hoping
that some of the weighty problems from
last night
may have lightened while she
drifted
in her lofty dreams.



 

I am an american born woman, in my late 50's, with B.A. (Psychology) and 99% completion of grad school (sociology, psychology, womens studies). My studies were pre 9/11, so I am old school, believing in the values of keeping families together, (more...)
