Yep. I was on TV again yesterday.
Me on TV
I was in NYC yesterday-- to attend the
contactcon.com conference-- which explores ways the evolution of how the web and related technologies can be used to connect us and change the way we interact. It was an incredible conference with attendees as interesting as the speakers.
a break out group at contact con discussing development of a website to coordinate volunteer coders in developing open-source software that supports the Occupy Movement.
Then, I went to Occupy Wall Street at Zuccoti Park. That was interesting and disturbing. I saw people selling buttons and people with donation buckets for their own organizations-- i.e., people parasitizing the still embryonic movement. Fortunately, at
contactcon, I also met a programmer who has been working with other programmers to develop open source web resources to support the Occupy movement. That's an exciting prospect-- infrastructure that supports the occupy movement. At contactcon I also spoke with the founder of Meetup, who I've chatted with at a number of previous PersonalDemocracy conferences. He told me that the number of occupy locations listed on meetup has grown to over 2000. Incredible.

Still, going to Zuccoti Park is very inspiring, seeing all the diverse young people there.

Then I went to the studio of the Daily National, where we talked about the Occupy Wall Street Movement, capitalism, the wealth disparity, debillionairization, and more.
It looks like appearances on Daily National could become a regular occurrence. They like Opednews.

A few declarations.
