Right on Progressives!

Right on Progressives! Let's all stay HOME and not vote like we did in 2010, you know when the GOP took over in a major landslide and has blocked everything they can since. Better yet, yell at the top of your lungs, "I AM A PROGRESSIVE," at the voting booth, while voting for the GOP Candidates to show the Democratic party how you feel. Then, do what you are good at: cry, whine, pout, and yell when things go the way the GOP wants.

Facts: OBAMA has done NOTHING. (WRONG!) HCR passed great bill? NO, but it is a start. I know two groups of people that would say a great start -those with children under 26 yrs old and those with preexisting conditions.

Bin Laden is dead. Bush and GOP tried for years and failed, not to mention most of major al Qaeda leaders are dead.

Here is a little more for your reading pleasure, If you want the facts that is:  http://pleasecutthecrap.typepad.com/main/what-has-obama-done-since-january-20-2009.html  This points out numerous OBAMA accomplishments, all with links of articles to read, and it cuts through some of the crap some are saying on here.

OBAMA took this job. Why?...I will never know. GOP is screaming and blocking him every chance they get. I am a Progressive, but I do not act like a lot of Progressives on here. I guess my perspective is different. I voted for Reagan twice and learned over the years. Acting like the RW accomplishes NOTHING. Politicians can only CHANGE things over years! If, and I mean if, they have a large support in the Congress and OBAMA does not, who are we to thank? Not the GOP...the PROGRESSIVES STAYED HOME IN 2010. I hear rants that Obama needs to be more like FDR. Hey!...news flash FDR had a CONGRESS to back him up.  http://artandhistory.house.gov/house_history/index.aspx?cong=73   Total 435 Representatives, 313 Democratic party members

http://artandhistory.house.gov/house_history/index.aspx?cong=74   322 Democratic party members

http://artandhistory.house.gov/house_history/index.aspx?cong=75   334 Democratic Party members

http://artandhistory.house.gov/house_history/index.aspx?cong=76   262 Democratic Party members

http://artandhistory.house.gov/house_history/index.aspx?cong=77   267 Democratic Party members

http://artandhistory.house.gov/house_history/index.aspx?cong=78   222 Democratic Party members

During this time the Senate had a majority of Democrats as well. The point is that FDR had a Congress that backed him. Did all Democratic Party members agree with ALL FDR did? The Democratic Party members listed in the House clearly show the answer...NO! However, there is a big difference, though the numbers went down over the years; the Democratic Party members were intelligent enough to maintain a majority during this time.

Two questions for all on here: 1) Name which GOP members of Congress you feel would push for policies you support?

Look at FDR'S Congress and what was accomplished. 2) Would those accomplishments have ever happened if FDR was dealing with the current Congress OBAMA is dealing with?

The difference in these two time periods points out clearly, "If you want things done support the Democratic Party members." Then once elected, push hard with constant pressure via solutions, not negativity. Tell them what to do, not what not to do.

If you are going to NOT vote no matter what, then do all in the Democratic Party a favor...go to your real party, the GOP, and join the RW in ranting and raving, offering nothing else of value to help the USA.
