Help shine Spotlight on Problem (& good) States & practices
We need to hear from you. This is a critical election BUT if the reported results do not reflect voters actual choices and people are deprived of opportunity to vote, then we are not having a real election ... but selection... a further loss of our rights - actually of the first right from which all others derive and depend - OUR Vote, OUR right to be self-governing. We are at war right here in the USA to determine who will control this country- We the People or Special Moneyed Interests. We've lost a lot of ground but the powers that be still fear waking up the sleeping, anesthesized giant - the people. This is why the Vote is the front line - they need to take it away and we need to take it back There are many serious problems which cannot be addressed by November but if we shine a spotlight on the most critical, perhaps we can make some improvement as well as have closer monitoring - and wake up more Americans Let's hear your nominations for the Best and Worst states (counties) and why. What are the most important issues which could be improved by November? Make comments here plus email votingintegrity@aol.com After we run the series on various states, we will post best comments/analysis/recommendations, have writers on as guests if they wish plus announce the top states chosen as best/worst... and ask State Officials to come on live to discuss citizens issues As Lincoln noted "Elections belong to the people. It is their decision" Let's speak out and make it our decision - there's still time for some improvement. by Mary Ann Gould (75 articles, 0 quicklinks, 0 diaries, 21 comments) on Wednesday, Jul 23, 2008 at 12:57:42 AM

There is only one system, to my knowledge, that would give the voter the assurance their vote was counted as they intended. This system not only gives that assurance, but also conducts an internal audit as it counts. Unfortunately, because of the security of this system it will not be approved by those elected. Check out the system for yourself at http://www.seeVote.com by Dennis Kaiser (21 articles, 0 quicklinks, 36 diaries, 785 comments [181 recommended, 1 rejected]) on Wednesday, Jul 23, 2008 at 7:22:31 AM
