Proposing a Green TEA Party

The political elite in this country, the "great corporatocracy" sailing under both Republican and Democratic flags (and likely having transnational orientations), have pulled off the most spectacular false-flag, false conflict, in the American domestic arena.

On the mainstream Republican side, they have managed to convince the populist "right wing" TEA party that they "are one" on the issue of tax reductions. But when the TEA partiers chant "Taxed Enough Already", they are NOT referring to billionaires or mega-corporations being over-taxed, many of which are loopholed, subsidized and tax-sheltered to the point they pay no taxes at all. Rather, they are referring to their middle-class, small-business, working-class selves. The mainstream Republican machine has managed to convince them that their plight centers on how their hard-earned wages have been siphoned off to fund immigrant health and day-care, rather than to fund adventurist foreign wars and spectacular corporate excess. Quite the feat of smoke and mirrors.

On the mainstream Democratic side, they have managed to convince the populist "left wing" constituencies that they represent their pro-environment, pro-health, pro-labor stance. Yet when major corporations (Banks, Big Oil) rape and pillage the economy, the land and the sea, they defer to these corporations interests first (too big to fail), they fine them token amounts that barely dent profits, and pass window-dressing legislation. The mainstream Democratic machine passes a health care "overhaul" that forces the lower classes to sign up with the same insurers who have gouged everyone else, and fight for the people's right to be medicated six ways from Sunday by the mega-pharmaceutical companies. Yet more smoke and mirrors.

The mainstream Republicans strike an "anti-illegal-immigrant" posture by refusing programs to provide a path to legitimacy - green-cards, or eventual amnesty. Yet even when in power, they mysteriously fail to address the porous border. Ever wonder why?

The mainstream Democrats strike a "pro-undocumented-worker" pose by resisting efforts to close the border, supporting "sanctuary cities" and demanding "dignity to work" for these largely poor, hardworking folk. Yet even when in power, by some peculiar circumstance, they fail to promote a secure green-card program or path to legitimacy. Ever wonder why?

Working together, this Democratic/Republican partnership manages to keep the border porous, encourage a cheap illegal workforce, while resisting avenues to documented legitimacy, thus keeping these workers fearful, afraid to complain about work conditions or lack of benefits. They put downward pressure on wages, reduce job opportunities to our young citizens, and allow major industries to pay workers under the table while cheating the government of payroll taxes. I don't believe that either the grassroots "left" or the TEA party "right" feel that this is some kind of valid compromise. Yet this stalemate has endured for decades through both Red and Blue administrations - clearly some powerful people want it this way - who could that be?

The establishment parties, posing as "the left" and "the right", are really the Democorp and Republicorp parties, two sides to the same self-serving corporacratic coin. Garnering wealth, power and privilege at the top where they comfortably reside is their common agenda. They do not really care which party is currently "in power" (as much as they pretend to), for they merely cycle between powerful legislative/executive positions and lucrative lobbyist/corporate positions - a sort of rich man's merry-go-round. They have set up a false conflict, and false dichotomy between the "hands off my wallet" TEA party fiscal conservatism, and a "hands off my life" left-wise social libertarianism. They need to keep these populist groups in fake ideological opposition, for if these populists ever decided they had more in common than not, and came together under a common banner, the halls of entrenched power and privilege would blanch and tremble.

The Republicans convince their constituents that "the left wants a big government welfare state and want to tax everyone to pay for it". But the "GREEN left" wants self-sufficiency, the ability to control their own destiny through grass-roots power generation and local food production - low planetary impact. They do not want to be dependent upon government, nor monopoly corporations for what to eat, how to travel, etc. They do not want to over-regulate all industries nor have government become the great nanny state. Oh sure, there are some, and they get a lot of press, but they are truly a minority overall. They are being co-opted and used to fan the flames of discord.

The Democrats convince their constituents "the right wants to gut social programs for the little people, and rescind taxes to help the rich get richer". But the fiscally conservative "TEA right" are not out to destroy valid social safety nets, nor wish to see Wall Street gut middle class retirement investments while issuing billion dollar bonuses to CEOs. The do not want to see anyone's tax money wasted in programs that only serve to bloat government bureaucracies, and for the most part, they are not interested in telling others what they can eat, nor with whom they can sleep. Oh sure there are some, and they get a lot of press, but they are truly a minority overall. They are being co-opted and used to fan the flames of discord.

If not for these false-flag dichotomies, distractions such as gay marriage and Christmas (err, "holiday") trees, these two, common sense, common people populist movements, the GREEN, self-sufficiency, libertarian left and the TEA party, fiscal conservative right might come together and realize that they form the great base of the American pyramid, the people who do the heavy lifting and deserve the rewards. Together, they outnumber and outclass the corporatocratic elite posing as "mainstream" political parties, pretending to represent the "majority".

I propose that such an alliance take place. For there are coming storms, storms of energy shortage, air and water pollution, and uncertain food production. The wealthy superclass will weather these storms comfortably in their gilded estates, and watch with mild curiosity, if not with outright amusement, as the "little people" scurry for shelter. The question is, what fraction of the common humanity, the "little people", will survive being swept away. Their only hope - our only hope, is to come together to negotiate our common interests, Green Left and TEA Right, put aside our petty differences and false-flag conflicts, and fight to wrest control of our future.

Together, I propose we unite under the formation of the GREEN TEA Party.
