I am just wondering out loud and asking for feedback and ideas, even volunteers for the following proposal. All opinions considered!

--

A proposal looking for support or feedback.

Purpose: Form a Political Action Committee to:

A) provide support FOR existing members of Congress who vote in a manner consistent with our Constitution and Bill of Rights.

B) work to DEFEAT candidates who's voting records show they consistently vote contrary to the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

C) provide education to voters about the Constitution and Bill of Rights and how their representative's votes relate to the consequences to individual liberty.

Would NOT provide support for new candidates because the decisions must be based on actual voting history. Any support for a new candidate would be de facto by means of any efforts to unseat the incumbent without mention of the opposing candidate.

Methods:

Form not-for-profit PAC. ( This as it should be incorporated in Washington DC )

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Find pro-bono attorney to form corporation and act as the "official agent" thereof.

Find pro-bone CPA to act as accountant.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

~ Project must be non-partisan and relate to legislation with constitutional consequences on federal level.

~ Find volunteers willing to track and identify legislation to monitor and evaluate for use as indicators.

how they vote

You can't judge them by how they vote.  Democrats have a way of lining up to ensure that the Republicans win.  Most of them might be taking a position on our side, but there always seem to be enough to carry the day for the "mionrity" party.  Notice that the Feingold-Dodd-Pelosi-Larson crowd, with their impeccable voting records--always on the losing side--never have to answer for the defections of their "blue-dog" colleagues.  When they vote our way and win, give them due credit.  When they vote our way and lose, repudiate them.

How they vote is the ONLY thing to measure

How they vote is the only thing you can measure them on. Being well dressed does not count. Having a great personality does not count. How well they speak does not count.

In Congress how you vote is the ONLY thing they do that impacts us.

This is the ONLY known, published and verified attribute that is common to every member of Congress...their votes.

Yes you can view bills they submit or co-sponsor but that is useless because you know they will vote FOR their own bills.

The Current System...

The system is broken.  Either they vote with the Constitution or they need to be fired.

The first step may be to determine if certain states or areas are doing this on a small scale, then get them together to brainstorm.
