The National Football League's season is just getting under way. It's got me thinking again about this theory I have.

Are the main pro sports broadcast on right wing media channels?

Here in the Philly area, the same Clear Channel station that broadcasts Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and formerly, Glen Beck, also broadcasts the Phillies games. The first Eagles game of the season is being broadcast by Fox.

Frankly, I'm not a major sports fan. I don't know any stats-- proudly. But I watch a lot of games because I have two sons who are very into them.

So I'm wondering, and asking you to cast more light on my speculation.

Is the local sports team in your town broadcast on right wing radio, on Fox?

If there's a pattern, then it adds an interesting factor to politics. Let's face it. Men are much more likely to vote Republican than Democratic. If the right wing media run their sports programs, then they are more likely to develop loyalty for the whole station brand.

Just sayin'. It's something to consider.

A few declarations.
-While I'm registered as a Democrat, I consider myself to be a dynamic critic of the Democratic party, just as, well, not quite as much, but almost as much as I am a critic of republicans.
