In a long odds, valiant effort to send a message to Washington that it is time to end the war and impeach Cheney and Bush, Shirley Golub had little chance and a lot of gumption. Pro-Impeachment Shirley Golub took 11% of the democratic vote in the house primary for Nancy Pelosi's San Francisco 8th CA district. Golub, ran in opposition to Pelosi, the best funded candidate in the house, with less than 5% the funding, strongly opposed any further funding of the war and strongly supported putting impeachment back on the table. Golub ran a creative campaign, including sending a supporter dressed as a chicken to Washington, sending the message that there was no sense sending a chicken to Washington, as she characterized Pelosi, for her failure to end the war and impeach Cheney and Bush.
