These are only a few headlines that I would not be surprised to see making the news in the coming months and years. The mainstream press might ignore many stories, but with readership dropping drastically, sensationalism could be the last hope of the dying giants.

The news articles will be meant to instill fear and create confusion. Do not believe any of them without serious thought and consideration, no matter their apparent credibility. We could never trust the mainstream media and its pundits, but now CGI makes it so that our eyes have an impossible task of discerning reality from fiction. As Obi Wan once told Luke, "your eyes can deceive you, don't trust them."

So who can we believe in these troubled times? I think the smartest idea would be to trust ourselves, relying on intuition and instincts rather than the "information" being fed to us. We should be wary of anything that just does not seem right, even if all of our friends and family have bought into the hype and hysteria.

Psychologically preparing ourselves for the worst that could be thrown at us will serve as an immunization. We will be the ones to whom people turn for council as the world falls into chaos. We will be the ones who saw something like this brewing long ago and who have been watching it play out like a predictable movie ever since. The prepared ones will have to assume the mantle of leadership in a world where "reality" is no longer an objective term for many.

World government approaches like a freight train. Man-made and natural disasters are poised to shake the ground beneath our feet. This is the calm before the storm. Do not be scared. Be prepared.

Though he is of noble blood, Ferdinand has no desire to fight or rule. He would prefer to explore, to ponder, to love, and to smell the flowers. Nevertheless, Ferdinand is a bull and he has horns.
