On The Republicans' Flawless Ability To Lie To The American People

"We Republicans believe that government is bad, and we have got the (bad) candidates to prove it!" - P.J. Clarke, on Bill Maher's show, October 8, 2010.

Since that date and before, we have been wondering whether it is necessary to be a complete liar, able to tell lies, misdirect, and do other things that prove the Republicans are not able to be honest, not even with themselves. Or only a partially experienced and committed liar, a "probationary liar" so the speak, to be eligible to be a Republican politician.

It was amazing to people when they learned that Osama bin Laden - who lived in a cave, which turned out to be more like a castle - understood global warming better than the Republicans seem to.

On October 18, 2011, while watching the evening world news, I witnessed while Senator Mitch McConnell glibly blamed President Obama for all the economic problems this country has been experiencing since 2008. What is amazing is that McConnell can do that with a straight face, the face of a Southern Holy Man, who would never steer his flock wrong. Mitch McConnell not only would, but also does steer his flock in the wrong direction. Every chance he gets, he and his associates in the Republican Party, Right-Wingers, and Tea Party members, tell lies to the American People. After all, they and their colleagues from the Republican Party, the Right-Wingers, the Tea Party, all promised upon President Obama's election, that they would do everything they could to block Obama from succeeding. It was quite simple: no matter how good Obama's ideas might be, since they are not Republican ideas, they will not be allowed to succeed.

The Republicans stood there in 2008 and admitted that they had no good ideas to help advance the American condition; so instead, they would do all they could to stop newly elected President Obama from succeeding every way they can block him.

Therefore, they have and so they will.

The problem is that George W. Bush started the economic disaster early in his stolen presidency, and continued until he left office. He took the largest surplus in our country's history, a peacetime surplus no less, and turned it into the largest deficit in the history of our fair nation. In addition, bought two separate wars with it.

Why?

Because that way Bush could put his people to work and make a fortune, while bankrupting the country. Halliburton, Blackwater, and all the other so-called consulting companies were put in place to earn what used to be called "Kings' Ransoms" during Bush's private wars -- the wars in Iraq - that even Bush's father warned him not to engage in. Bush went ahead and promised that the United States would benefit from the oil confiscated during the Iraq portion of the war; the US has never seen a single dollar of the so-called confiscated oil supplies from the Iraq war. And again, like Mitch McConnell, he did it all with a straight face. This mental midget, with his strings pulled by those other than his vice president, was actually able to read many of his lines directly from his cue cards. David Letterman might be proud of how ably "W" read from his tele-prompters.

The Republicans simply do not understand how the truth works, how science works, and so on, while the rest of the world does. My mistake -- the Republicans actually do understand; they simply choose not to work within the law or laws, since so doing would not net them the kind of profits they have learned to pursue.

While the Republicans are busily learning how to lie and misdirect the public, the rest of the world is busily learning how to black out the processes, which create the services that go ahead and teach people how to avoid creating a huge carbon footprint.

There is no one in the country who can say otherwise. The Republicans, masters of the Big Lie, same as the Germans did in World War Two, have taken it upon themselves to make this country fail, so they might have a chance to win the presidency in the next election. The fatal problem with their approach is that by the time the next election comes around, the American People should have gotten wise to the Republicans' lies, misdirection, malfeasance, hate, bigotry, and all other negativity they choose to espouse as their Party Plank.

Moreover, guess why? They simply forgot the 50 million AARP members who have had enough of their lies and their cheating and so on and by the time the next election rolls around, those 50 million AARP members will vote against the Republicans and keep them from actually succeeding at their lying game.

With one major exception -- the Republicans learned how to steal elections in their win over then Vice President Gore. They have had numerous years since then, to perfect their methods of stealing an election.

While the Democrats and Progressives are trying to teach people what a carbon footprint is, the Republicans and Right-Wingers are not even sure how to spell it.
