Yesterday I sat in a Statehouse hearing room and watched the House Health Committee vote to pass a bill that would outlaw abortion almost completely in Ohio.

It was a sad day for women in Ohio, and I think that Cheryl Pentella from the National Council of Jewish Women said it best in her opponent testimony:

"There's an old legal saying - when you have the facts on your side, pound the facts - when you have the law on your side, pound the law -when you have neither, pound the table."

That is exactly what our opponents are doing: continuing to pound the table over and over again, pushing a bill so extreme that Ohio Right to Life is not even supporting it.
The politician sponsoring the bill feels that he knows best. He thinks that he knows better than doctors, that he knows better than constitutional scholars and lawyers, and that he knows better than women and their families.

We didn't start this war on women in the Ohio Statehouse, but we will finish it. We need you to speak out now and make sure that your state representative knows that this war needs to end and it needs to end TODAY.

Our legislators campaigned on jobs and the economy, but since they took office, they have completely forgotten why they were elected and instead have launched a war on women.

Yours in Choice,
Jaime Miracle
Policy Director
