Dear friends

I want to tell any of you who loosely drop the word "Amerikan" and talk about being like "Good Germans" (who vote pro-war), that this is terribly offensive. Searingly so.

I have family in Germany and can tell you first-hand: Germans are deeply embarrassed and remorseful about the Holocaust. To use the word "Amerikan" and say that someone "Votes like a good German" for war, is a confession of ignorance and comes across as hate speech, even if that is not the intent.

Trust me many Germans are on red alert about what is going on in America. They were among the first to say that 9-11 was a government job, and they still do. They also are the first to say that the psychodynamics in post-911 America are exactly parallel to those in the rise of Nazi Germany. And they are vociferously concerned. They talk about it all the time. I am talking about my family overseas, but also about German friends right here in the USA.

The parallels are absolutely no coincidence. Bush's grandfather was architect of the Nazi hate propaganda against Jews: That is no secret.

Where previously it was the Jews who got it, now it's the Islamics and Middle Easterners. The only difference is who the target is, but not the work at hand.

Please stop dropping hate lingo in this way. It's truly deeply offensive. The words carry deep weight, and would hit some people like an arrow.

It' s about as offensive as someone who once said to me, as a Jew: "Hitler dumped the garbage here". Thanks a million and get your head examined, bitch! And this is the first time I have sworn on this forum.

Please take note.

Rob, may I suggest that this be one of the "think twice" matters programmed in to your system:

"Amerikan" and "Voting like Good Germans" etc.....

Thank you, Kathryn
