Occupy is at it again. This morning, Monday 12/12, Occupy will shut down All West Coast ports from Seattle to San Diego. Houston Occupy has indicated that they will join in with solidarity and shut down the Port of Houston.

The Mainstream Press (in this case NBC) has indicated that the workers at the Ports are tired of losing pay (figures). I believe that the Union is with the movement. According to The NBC Bay Area Report:

"But the calls for shutting down ports comes without the support of leadership from the International Longshore and Warehouse Union, who have said that while they support the broader goals of the Occupy movement, they are not supportive of unilateral calls by third parties to shut down ports. A port shutdown was proposed by Occupy Oakland and Los Angeles groups mid-November."

Police have promised to be on hand and they have indicated that they will attempt to block the Occupy protestors and keep the ports running.

Last November, Occupy shut down the Port of Oakland in a similar protest. What happens tomorrow is anyone's guess.
