Has ever a president elect swept into the office with more excitement and anticipation? Our world was crumbling around us from the corruption, the immoral and unethical behavior of the previous Administration, the economy was sinking faster than a lead balloon, The “Wars of Choice” had extracted a devastating toll in both lives and cost, not to mention the moral standing of our country in the eyes of the world, we the people had witnessed an alarming erosion of our freedoms and Constitutional rights, and this country had accepted torture as a standard of our behavior. But, you Obama, promised that upon your entry into the office, things would begin to change.

Adoring millions of Americans were euphoric over the prospect of righting the ship and around the world a sight of relief could be heard from the other Nations, that America, that beacon of hope for the world was about to join the ranks of the moral and ethical.

Alas, it was not to be.

Your promises were as lingering and temporary as the wind. A strong gust of “Yes we can” has turned into a roaring tornado of “But we ain't a-gonna”. Pardon the poor English but it was necessary.

The Republicans, who had been severely repudiated by the people, decided the only way to combat your charisma, was to resist you on every quarter, anything you tried to do, to resist any effort to effect change. As an alternative to helping the Nation they planned to criticize, resist, and propagandize any proposal as something it wasn't, for example the specter of Grandma being cosigned to death by that “bad” Healthcare initiative. But you, Obama, gave them a glimmer of hope they hadn't expected when you failed to take any promised action to change the Bush initiatives that allowed war to continue, torture to continue, denial of citizens rights to continue, economic craziness to continue, in short, any action that you could have accomplished, without the approval of Congress, you just outright ignored. You blew it Obama; those adoring masses are now dwindling faster than prairie dust in a windstorm.

You were the promise. And you had the support. The first thing you could have done when you came into office should have been to order the troops home. Instead you decided to pour troops into Afghanistan. Now the Generals are looking at changing that ill-fated move. Maybe ill fated is the wrong description; maybe it should be characterized as dumb. More of our soldiers have now died and will continue to die, unless you go back and keep your promise – bring the troops home now.

You trashed Bush for signing Bills with earmarks. You said that you would sign no Bills with earmarks. Chuck that promise, you've signed every Bill that had earmarks and are trying to tell your faithful that it is necessary. Message to Obama, it is not necessary, stop it immediately. You promised to undo the Bush signing statements on your first day in office. You've not only refused to do that; you've come up with several on your own.

You promised to stop the warrantless spying on Americans; instead you've expanded that program. Keep in mind Obama, these last things mentioned required no approval of Congress, you could have done it on your own - immediately. You have continued to allow torture and renditions. You have continued to allow lawbreakers to keep on pulling in Corruption money – remember what you said about Lobbyist – no lobbyist in your Administration? Why didn't you keep that promise?

Obama, you promised a new world of moral and ethical conduct from the White House. But I, as a vehement anti-Bush Administration former Republican and to go with that a very anti-Clinton never been a Democrat, I voted for you, and the promise you brought.

It is time for me to say to you Obama, I was wrong, and I think there is a rising chorus growing louder across the Nation, that you have already become the most disappointing President in the History of our Country.

This rousing cry is not that you have committed the excesses of the past Administrations, rather it is that the hope your election brought, has been crushed by your very own inaction, coupled with new corruptive policies that mirror the very Bush tactics you so adamantly cried out against.

Obama, you are a self-made failure. We can't even blame the Republicans for your demise, although I will admit their plan of action to stop you had nothing to do with helping America.

We are left with what we began with: A two headed monster in Washington. This is an aberration that we the people need to tend to immediately. Obama, I call for your Impeachment. At the same time I call for investigation into the criminal activities of the Bush Administration and criminal charges for war crimes committed by the two creeps ordering the immoral actions.

Our Country needs a thorough overdue house cleaning. Now is the time to start.

Obama, we hardly knew you.
