Barack Obama blows away David Letterman with his deft and humorous handling of the 'Lipstick on a Pig' fiasco while impressing everyone, including myself, with his authenticity, values, connection, trust, strong identity, intelligence and obvious sense of humor as well as making his key campaign points: Allen L Roland George Lakoff has written ~ " voters vote for a president not primarily on the issues, but on five other 'character' factors; values; authenticity; communication and connection; trust; and identity." http://www.truthout.org/article/dont-think-a-maverick Now watch Barack Obama project all of these values on the David Letterman show plus a wonderful sense of humor, a strong sense of self worth and an invigorating intellect ~ which by itself puts him at the head of the class ~ and will soon be on full display during the upcoming debates. Click on end enjoy this 5 minute video of our next President in action ~ http://lateshow.cbs.com/latenight/lateshow/dave_tv/highlights/index/php/bigshowhighlight.phtml
Now compare that with the lies and deceptions of the McCain/Palin ticket where John McCain is already exhibiting at least five symptoms of dementia including impaired reasoning ~ witness his selection of Sarah Palin as VP as added testimony to the ongoing dumbing down of the Republican Party by George W Bush and now John McCain.
The Obama / McCain debates will make this Presidential comparison quite obvious to most Americans and the Biden/ Palin debate will further clarify Palin's ignorance and lack of substance as a political leader when compared to Joe Biden.
For example ~ A majority of voters, 60 percent, think that Biden is qualified to be president, while 31 percent think he is not. By comparison, 48 percent of voters think Palin is qualified, while 44 percent think she is not . http://www.truthout.org/article/poll-biden-better-preparedObama's not so secret weapon will be that moderate Republicans are leaving the McCain/Palin ticket in droves and are voting for the Obama/Biden ticket. http://www.truthout.org/article/republicans-jumping-ship
We have had eight years of lies, distortions and impaired reasoning by the Bush administration and the John McCain camp appears to be in lock step with them ~ See proof http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IH0xzsogzAk
It's time for a President we can finally respect and be proud of and the only true Presidential candidate, in that regard, is Barack Obama.

Obama
is indeed, a fine fine actor. I simply don't comprehend nor do I share the enthusiasm. Americans are so easy. Everything on both sides is choreographed. The directors will be the same. The best that can be said is that Obama's role is somewhat more appealing than McCain's. The outcome of the musical (in which the election is merely one act) is not in doubt. by richard (0 articles, 5 quicklinks, 2 diaries, 1360 comments [400 recommended, 8 rejected]) on Sunday, Sep 14, 2008 at 10:52:31 PM

Reply: Yes - a good actor in a bad play
Did he smile and talk about...... - ending the war? - or abolishing the Patriot Act? - or getting rid of the Department of Homeland Criminals? - or 9/11 Truth? - or the Fake War on Terror? - or the rigged Elections? - or the non-Federal no-Reserves? I do agree he is an engaging individual -nice dresser -good diction - and I hear he returns his videos on time. However, when we look at who is behind him we find the same infrastructure promoting the continuation of war for profit. I believe the only chance for a real change is - 3rd party or don't vote! by CasaZaza (10 articles, 0 quicklinks, 7 diaries, 202 comments [15 recommended, 0 rejected]) on Thursday, Sep 18, 2008 at 12:04:39 AM

Smitten
Greetings, Sixty percent of voters may think that Biden could take over the reins of the presidentcy, but sixty-four percent think that "none of the above" should be president. No Obama, no McCain, let's crack open these 2 cesspools called democrats and republicans and vote 3rd party. Perhaps then they wouldn't play games with the primaries and stick us with an inexperienced person with little character, and another McSame. by Kellis R.
