For those of you, who like to keep in touch with the other side, there exists a conservative on-line newsletter, Newsmax.com.

On Monday October 13, 2008, two issues were deposited in my in box. First, published at 6.54 PM, was an endorsement “Recently, we sent you an important message from the National Republican Trust PAC. Political guru Dick Morris has praised this group and says, “The National Republican Trust is a very effective organization that can make a huge difference on election day.” We agree. Make sure you read their important message and help them expose Barack Obama. This article goes on to say that “time is running short for us to avert a major disaster for our country. That disaster’s name is President Barack Obama.” It then goes on to outline how Obama can be defeated.

The second article published at 6.20 PM is entitled “ Stealing elections, How Voter Fraud Threatens Our Democracy.” This article, in my opinion, largely restates how the Republicans stole the 2002 election and suggests that the Democrats may do the same thing in 2008. It then goes on to outline what those things are and may be. In my opinion the article says “here is what we did, now watch out or the Democrats may do the same thing to us this time around“. Naturally, they don’t admit or even suggest that they used these tactics in 2002.

Again these articles from Newsmax.com may tell us something about what the other side is up to And may help us prepare a counter- punch or two.

Newsmax...barf city

My liberal friend sends me these newsmax newsletters and I just hate them. She also reads them for info. When I read them, I recall one of the most impactful rules I learned in Criminology, and that is, people tell on themselves. This is a case of the republicans unintentionally telling on themselves. Now they worry we will do the same...heh heh heh. See, they think Dems(and some are no doubt) are just as conniving as they are.

Let me tell you a story about the theory of "telling on oneself" (eventually, most will). I had a neighbor who told on himself. See, one day my car was paintballed and so was our Apt building. No one knew who had done it. One day, I was talking to my neighbor about some neighbors doing some (maybe) criminal stuff. He said, "well, it's time for me to get my paintball gun out". I said, "oh, you have a paintball gun?" He said to the affirmative. I went inside and said, I'll be damned. He told on himself even if it was a year later!

Stoopid republican conniving sleaze baggs. We don't have to steal the election. We have it in the bag. However, with the conniving sleaze bagg republicans, we could lose it to their thievery...the only way we can lose it. We(Dems) surely need armed guards over seeing our polls and vote counts.

I find it hard to believe that the public feels led astray by President Bush for leading us into a war blindsided. Where were you when Bush went to the United Nations for help in finding out if Iraq had WMD's. How many chances did we give Saddam to come clean only to hear over and over again "I need more time, No you can't enter Iraq" How many chances did we give him? If it was up to the Democratic party would we still be waiting?

Don, I'm sorry but I cain't agree with you. I've lived in Florida since 1999 and am well aware of what the GOP has done in all the elections since and it hasn't been pretty. Of course, I'm a life-long Democrat and cain't understand how anyone except the extreme rich can be Republicans.

woops forgot

Body count. In the last six months 292 killed (murdered) in
Chicago, 221 killed in Iraq.

Sens. Barack Obama & Dick Durbin, Rep. Jesse Jackson
Jr., Gov. Rod Blogojevich, House leader Mike Madigan, Atty.
Gen. Lisa Madigan, Mayor Richard Daley.....our leadership in
Illinois.....all Democrats. Thank you for the combat zone in
Chicago. Of course they're all blaming each other.
Can't blame Republicans, they're aren't any!

State pension fund $44 Billion in debt, worst in country.
Cook County (Chicago) sales tax 10.25% highest in country.
(Look'em up if you want). Chicago school system one of
the worst in country.

This is the political culture that Obama comes from in Illinois.
