By going into Iraq instead of concentrating on Afghanistan, Bush allowed al Qaida's titular leader to escape and continue to haunt the free world. Now that President Obama has taken out Osama bin Laden and rid the world of this terrorist, it's time to stop another group of killers Bush intentionally allowed to escape arrest and fester. Their continued reign of terror will claim over 100 times as many American lives each year as were killed by al Qaida on 9/11.
Ten years ago, 46 American Nobel Prize winning Scientists declared that NIH funded Embryonic Stem Cell Research would lead to cures for a multitude of deadly diseases within 10 years. President Clinton approved the funding, but Bush and Republicans took over first and said it would be approved over their dead bodies. Ten years later, they're healthy and have great health care.
The dead bodies belong to hundreds of thousands of Americans suffering from a variety of deadly diseases who needed those promised cures. The ten years are up and now a half million Americans are dying each year because the radical right winged Republicans, following the Taliban like message of their leaders, killed the life saving research.
They proclaim to be Christian, but their God must be Mammon, the anti-Christ. Christ told His followers to "Go out and heal the sick," and gave us the tools to do so. These pinhead sized cells, formed in a test tube, not in a woman's womb were destroyed, thrown out, thrown in the trash when not used. They could have saved hundreds of thousands of American lives each year.
It's time to arrest these killers, and President Obama has authorized NIH funding of this important research to stop these killers, just as he stopped bin Laden, but he needs our help because Republicans are still trying to stop funding this research. It's time to throw out these Republicans and follow Christ's mandate to cure the sick by voting for democratic candidates who will legislate for you, not Big Money and Mammon.
