On December 21, 2008, I published a diary about Joan Mitchell featuring several of her works, here.   It may be that only the text of that Diary is still accessible.  

Howsoever, I hope you have time to read what I wrote about Ms. Mitchell in 2008, as an introduction to her ten works here.  

What follows are two works from each of the five decades Ms. Mitchell was painting, from the 1950's through the 1990's.   However, the first image is "Garden Party" - my favorite picture of the ten - and I've placed it first.   A picture of the artist follows her ten works.
