Here are some images I took last year in Chicago and the year before in Philadelphia PA.
I'll be at the Chicago event wearing a green Corporations are not people tee shirt and a green hat.
Feel free to also post photos you've taken from past Marches against Monsanto, and to add your comments about Monsanto.
Recently, it's been reported that about 70% of US scientists support Monsanto. That's in spite of the UN's World Health Organization (WHO) coming out with a statement that
ties cancer to Glyphosate, the active ingredient in Monsanto's weed killer, Roundup, that is used on GMO plants. Just as Monsanto has bought politicians, including Obama, it appears that they've also bought or sold a bill of goods to US scientists.
Here's a
statement from the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO):
""Our position as FAO is not that we are against GMOs but we are saying we don't need them now to eradicate hunger...
GM technology is not a solution for small farmers, the hungry, or the poor. It is a technology for the rich, for vested interests and the corporate status quo."
