Kathmandu, Nepal, :Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born in the town of Porbander in the state of present-day Gujarat on October 2, 1869. Gandhi believed that the edifice of lasting peace could on be erected upon the foundation of love, compassion, tolerance, coexistence and nonviolence.

I would like to show my love and respect to Gandhi through a poem I wrote for him:

"Mahatma Gandhi's and mine appear"

The sound of loneliness
The sound of more loneliness too
It comes from outside nearby
Where stands a large people tree
People say
The violence haunts the place
Lonely night
People worship the beneath the trees
I don't believe in violence
I have faith
That Gandhi exist beneath the Trees
The sound is unusual
It's not of gods
Sometimes, from inside
Sometimes, from both sides
Weeping and lulling
At last one day
I asked the man
Whose sound is it? and why?
He said a woman has just delivered a child
I am a porter, the child is satisfied
In breastfeeding
The nipples with no milk flow
The sound is indeed a reaction
Arising from the gap
Between demand and supply
Nowadays, the walls crack violently
Some faint shapes of
Mahatma Gandhi's and mine appear
Gandhi, I bow to you
The sound becomes sweet
As the poor man told
Though the sound was a struggle for peace and nonviolence, sometimes
Even the struggle tastes sweet.
