It's going to be a very long weekend for the two least popular presidential candidates in history. The first BIG debate on Monday will likely be a make it or break it moment for both of them, their poll numbers still wavering in the mid-40s with little significant movement in months.
If one of them makes an impact Monday it could give them the momentum to strengthen their base and secure some undecideds, finally moving the needle more than a couple of clicks.
Camp Hillary hopes Trump will make some of his infamous outrageous statements, giving her a chance to confront him in person with a reasoned response. Team Trump, also hopes Hillary will confront him in person and prove again why her unlikable factor is in the stratosphere.
He has the advantage of knowing how to work a crowd. She has actual political experience and is an experienced debater. They both have problems with private foundations, they both have issues with suspect campaign donations.
She has those damned emails, he has that damned phony University. He won't release his tax returns, she won't release the speeches she gave to Wall Street donors. She has some curious medical issues, he's tangerine. She's married to Bill, he's married to a Bond Girl.
Which way does the scale tip in the most critical and unpredictable presidential race in modern times?
