LABOR DAY AND BEYOND
This weekend we pause to celebrate American workers and their contribution to building this great nation--a holiday for the 99%. Labor Day is also widely acknowledged as the point at which the masses really start paying attention to the candidates and their parties, the daycampaigns go into full swing.
For newly forming parties like the Justice Party, we don't have the home-field advantage the two corporate-controlled parties have. Our ticket doesn't automatically appear on ballots, we have to work very hard against very big odds to gain ballot access.
Labor Day reminds us that the final deadlines for ballot access are fast approaching. Because of the herculean effort of the Rocky Road Trip and our volunteers in the ballot access project, Rocky Anderson's name has been officially certified to appear on the ballot in the following 11 states:
Utah, New Jersey, Washington, Mississippi, Colorado, Oregon, Michigan, Idaho, Connecticut, New Mexico, and Minnesota Without the financial support of our members, none of this would have been possible.
It's not over yet, though. Our goal is to raise another $5,000 in the next 10 days to support the Rocky Road Trip and our volunteers in our last efforts to get Rocky's name on the ballot in the following states:
Vermont, Arkansas, Louisiana, Florida, Tennessee, and Rhode Island Will you help us reach the voters in these states? Please follow this link to contribute.
If you haven't read this recent interview of Rocky Anderson by Ron Boyer of Truthout, it's a thoughtful reminder of why Rocky should be our next president, and it provides great reasons why voters should have this choice on Election Day.
With 17 states' ballots still in play, your contribution can help ensure that millions of voters will have an opportunity to vote for the best candidate in the field. We have only 14 days left to qualify, and your financial support is critical.
Ballot access is important in building the Justice Party. Please contribute now!
Wishing you a wonderful Labor Day weekend,
Lenny Brody, Michael McGee, Cynthia Papermaster, Laura Bonham, Dave Jette, Kristine Kubat, Keomailani Von Gogh, Linda Boyd |
