Judiciary Committee to Announce Results of "Non-Impeachment" Hearing in 2 Weeks

Tell A Friend

A Monday mid-day call to the House Judiciary offices of John Conyers provided a wide variety of info that a trip to their website does not, including news the official report from the hearings expected to be released "in two weeks" a term used by two different staffers though no names were given. Transcripts of the hearing will be made public on Aug. 3rd. Off the record, one staffer acknowledged that there was talk of further hearings regarding the numerous charges of impeachable offenses, principally those leveled by former representative Elizabeth Holtzman and former Reagan Attorney General's office staffer, Bruce Fein.

Incidentally, a Monday mid-day call to the House offices of "terror propagandist," Trent Franks, revealed new staff members answering phone. Whether and what kind of victory that might be is anyone's guess.

Thanks for the update

I've found that you don't get given a name by those answering the phone at the House Judiciary Committee unless you ask for it and then you usually only get it reluctantly.  I'm not sure if the folk that answer the phone are just glorified receptionists or not.  Perhaps they are law students on intern programs.

Wierd that. Its not uncommon for people who work in public service organisations or for government departments to be wary of uniquely identifying themselves probably because there is a fear of nuts taking revenge on them or something. But even without using names its possible to use id numbers. And anyone calling the House Judiciary Committee is going to be in a small set of nut if they happen to also be a nut - they could be handled administratively fairly easily.

But the House Judiciary Committee should be able to provide an identifier and confirmation of contact. Thats just professional and courteous.

The judiciary committee should appreciate the need for audit trails and for showing a proper and professional process more than, not less than most.

Audit trails give a mean to improve internal processes as well as to ensure that messages are received. There are ways of protecting against threats that don't involve disrespecting people that are trying to get in touch with the appropriate organisation.

I do recommend asking for names. If you are giving yours they should give you theirs. Mutual accountability is a good thing.

I am a passionate 9/11 truther from the east coast. I feel that the only way to retrieve our country from the gnarled hands of the evil doers is to expose them as the criminals behind 9/11.

Those most important hearings of our time..

Thanks Mikel.    I hope that happens.  The more hearings the better.  In fact, all the msm ridiculing of impeachment may backfire on them as people become more and more worried about the economy, how they will afford  to pay for gas to get to work,  and the very real prospect of food shortages in the near future.   People are waking up,  they are feeling the oncoming depression.  It's happening slower than we'd like, but it's happening.

I think the first places to target for mass protest should be fox,cnn & msnbc headquarters for their absolute refusal to report the truth.

Startle someone today

Yes, confront the media on their at best negligence.

A thought that came from our family's discussion of how to best dramatize the impeachment is that instead of, as typical, one large protest in DC, we need 100s of protests at cities around the country. Small ones add up, like yessterday i got contacted about a vacant lot with posts available for activist content. Today by noon on a main thoroughfare in Kingman, AZ is a 4 X 8 sign that reads "Impeach Bush Now! Call Congress." I also have spent a half hour or so a day over the last couple of days sidewalk protesting for impeachment right in front of the local Repug headquarters.  One person with a sign on a busy street can affect 100s in an hour. The more the more impact, but ONE alone does make a difference.
