Investigators are concerned. Why did Ramy Zamzam and four more young Americans go to Pakistan and try to connect with al-Qaeda? 24 years old, Najibullah Zazi was arrested in September. He was blamed for plotting to blow up a bomb in New York. In October David Headley got arrested. His father was from Pakistan and his mother is American. He is charged with organizing a plot against the Danish newspaper "Jyllands-Posten" (the newspaper that published cartoons about Muhammed).

November was the worst month. In November, Major Nidal Hassan shot 13 American soldiers at Fort Hood. Recently it became known about his relationship with one extremist imam in Yemen. In November, a few more people were charged in court. They recruited 20 young Somalis to fight the pro-American government in his former homeland.

So, what happened? For a long time, America was the best country for immigrants. And it's true. Most of America's Muslims are wealthy educated people, and at the same time in Europe they are poor, alienated, and in an aggressive mood. They are members of society in US, and in Europe they are outsiders. In Spain, Britain or other European countries they live in the ghetto. And in US they are spread across the country that promotes assimilation.

For a long time FBI could catch amateurs only. But Najibullah Zazi had a special training in Pakistan which means he was not amateur, he was a professionally trained terrorist. Georgetown University expert in the field of terrorism Daniel Byman believes that Bin Laden is not done with the U.S. and he is working on creating his new army inside of US.

All these many examples - is this a coincidence or a new pattern? And there is another question: why do none of the suspects achieve success? Is it because FBI doing such a great job? Maybe so. However, another answer is to be found if we take a look at the immigrants' integration in America. If we are talking about Zamzam this guy's was consulted in CAIR first and after that got caught by FBI. The main motto was - cooperation. After September 11, 2001, lots of very important information came from the Islamic communities. From this we can conclude that an open army - is a more effective weapon in the fight against terror than the mutual exclusion, or even protection from each other.

Specialist on Islam, Kathleen Moore, in her article named "Open House," notes Muslims in America were in the phase of "patience", then they passed the stage of "acceptance", but now they are engaged in "integration practice". There is a question: when we will say the same thing about Turks, Palestinians and Moroccans in Europe?

At the same time America and Europe have one common problem. The second and third generations of immigrants does not do as well as the local population.
