Israel! Palestine! You two boys stop that fighting, RIGHT NOW! Do you HEAR me?

I DON'T CARE WHO STARTED IT! I’VE HAD IT UP TO HERE WITH YOU TWO!

Bicker, bicker, bicker, that’s all I ever hear from you.

STOP THAT HITTING! If I have told you once, I have told you a thousand times, fighting never solves anything. You two stand further apart. Thank you.

NO SHOVING, EITHER! Were you born in a barn? OK, now you stand over here, and you stand over there.

Okay. Now, listen to your Mother …

STOP SASSING ME, YOUNG MAN!

(Sighs.)

OK, I want this fighting to stop. I mean it. Just wait ‘til your Father comes home! He is very upset with BOTH of you. And so am I. You boys are not babies, anymore. It’s time to start growing up.

STOP THAT ARGUING, BOTH OF YOU!

Well, my two little Mr. Know-It-Alls, guess what? You can’t BOTH have started it, so I know that AT LEAST one of you is lying to me! Goodness gracious, you boys have been fighting for so long that no one remembers who started it.

DON’T ROLL THOSE EYES AT ME, YOUNG MAN, OR THEY’LL ROLL RIGHT OUT OF YOUR HEAD!

This is not about who started it, that’s in the past.  It’s about who CONTINUES it, right now. The reason things never change with you two, is because you always choose the same, mean-spirited responses over and over and OVER again. Enough, already! You are acting like babies. You know what? A REAL man doesn’t prove he is powerful by hitting. The most powerful man is the one who chooses to act in a better way. The one who can lift his head over the fighting, and figure out something that will actually help. A man who uses his brains and his heart, instead of just jumping right in to the fight.
