Orr suggests a number of astrologically possible situations:
1. “The election will be postponed or canceled due to some ‘national emergency.’” 2. “One or more candidates will leave the race.” 3. “There will be rampant fraud or data foul-ups on Election Day, and yet another election will be stolen.”

How would we be able to follow the doctrine of Fascism if it weren't for flawed, corrupt elections?
See Dr. Britt's 14 Points of Fascism and see if we don't fall in line:
Powerful and Continuing Nationalism -- “Support Our Troops”, and a host of other slogans. And Barack, where the hell is that American flag lapel pin? (At least they don't have some other obvious symbol such as arm bands).
Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights – people must forgo human rights in order to remain safe. But who keeps the people safe from the leaders?
Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a unifying cause – bin Laden, Hussein, Liberals, terrorists. WOW! This bunch has come up with a lot of scapegoats, but how about the obvious – Cheney, Bush, Bolton, Wolfowitz, Rice,............
Supremacy of the Military --- Is $.42 of every dollar going to the military enough? As Kucinich said he could take a mere 15% of that and pay for complete health care for all Americans and still give the military more than any other country in the World gives theirs.
Rampant Sexism – under fascist regimes males tend to dominate. Divorce, abortion, and homo-sexuality are suppressed.
Controlled Mass Media --- ever wonder why all cable networks have the same trash on any given day? The media goes by the axiom - “The less people know, the more they believe.”
Obsession with National Security --- We need those illegal wiretaps in order to keep the people safe. We need the ability to arrest anybody for no reason in order to keep the country safe. Whenever the people get too complacent we can always change the color and keep them in fear.
Religion and Government are Intertwined – fascist nations tend to use religion as a tool to manipulate public opinion. See #5 above...
Corporate Power is Protected – corporations continue to put elected people in power, finance them well in order to keep them there. These elected officials then make laws to protect the corporations at the expense of the citizens. Who benefits from the Bankruptcy Law that was the first law passed in the Bush administration? Who has been the beneficiary of any of the laws past in recent years – corporations or citizen?
Labor Power is Suppressed --- what has happened to the labor unions in our country? Where are the jobs going? Where is the “Middle Class” anymore?
Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts – those who try to inform or teach are “liberals” and should be avoided and not listened to. Remember, the less you know, the more you believe.
Obsession with Crime and Punishment – in fascist societies police are given limitless powers to enforce the laws. In our society we have been in the process of “privatizing” military in order to have these mercenaries marching the streets in order to maintain “peace”.
Rampant Cronyism and Corruption --- Cheney, Bush, Rice, Wolfowitz, Bolton, Pelosi, and on and on...Have we ever had a more corrupt electorate in the history of our nation?
Fraudulent Elections --- When have we had a fair one? We do know that since 2000 all elections have been corrupted. They are controlled by corporations who count the votes, or if that count is not sufficient, make the votes.
Who can deny that according to Britt's points of Fascism that we are not a democracy, but a fascist society.
What can we do? For starters do not re-elect any incumbent. Make corporations waste their dollars on candidates who we do not re-elect. Make the vote against them so huge that even the corporate vote counters cannot rig the result.
