This is the time for impeachment. Bush can still do much harm before he leaves office. He is loosening environmental regulations, he is killing civilians in Syria and Afghanistan, he is allowing all sorts of illegal loans and grants, billions of taxpayers' money- to the banks and other lenders. Only impeachment can stop him.
He is seeking to pardon himself and the members of his administration in advance for war crimes. Only impeachment can stop him. If he and Cheney are impeached- it could take a week or two, since the evidence is already amassed, Pelosi would fill in until Obama takes office.
Pelosi and the Dems have consistently said that they believe Bush and Cheney should be impeached, but they didn't have the votes. Now that the balance of power has shifted with the Obama victory, Congress should no longer allow subpoenas to be ignored, oversight to be blocked, laws to be overriden with signing statements. All these are violations of the Constitution, impeachable offenses.
Wouldn't impeachment be a wonderful Christmas present? The restoration of the Constitution would cleanse the national soul. Disgracing the warmongers would go a long way toward establishing peace on earth.
Please call John Conyers and your own Representative this week, and ask them to put impeachment on the table, right up front. You can reach any House member through the Congressional switchboard- 202-225-3121.

Bush is planning on changing at least 90 laws before Nov 22. One of these will further dissolve the 4th Amendment and will give the local police to take you in for anything they deem a threat.
Who knows what others are in store. The Nov 22 date is important as in order for these to go into effect it takes 60 days from the day of the signing. They will take effect when Obama takes over. Once these go into effect they become much more difficult to undo.
In addition, there is much time for him to enlarge the scope of the phoney war of terror he commenced.
Holding hearings will do several things, including showing the world that we, the American people, do not condone the actions of these criminals.
Nancy Pelosi, by not allowing hearings, is obstructing justice. Dennis Kucinich has already set the groundwork for these hearings to begin -- TODAY!

I had no idea about the extent of the Chipmunk's Lame Duck Program. And of course, any pressure Dennis Kucinich (and Barbara Lee, and others) can bring INSIDE the House will reinforce the public's efforts.

And Dennis. Pelosi could rise to the occasion of being America's head of state. (Although her totally stiffing Cindy Sheehan in the recent California District 8 election does not bode well.)
After all, (1) She can't be worse than the Lame Duck Chipmunk, can she? and (2) We have hope for The Barak, do we not?

I saw a recent poll on priorities of the public. Impeachment, bringing the criminals to justice, is way down, behind the economy, out of Iraq, universal health care. If we are to get impeachment now, we have to generate pressure on Congress. Send it to your lists. Call your Reps. It's nice to relax and say Daddy Obama will take care of us now, but We the People put him there, and it's up to We the People to get impeachment.

Obama may have referred to Nancy Reagan's penchant for scheduling Ronnie's appointments with advice from an astrologer, but threatening Hannity is the last thing Obama would ever do. That's way too complimentary. What I'm hoping he will do, however, is issue an Executive Order re-establishing the "fairness" in broadcasting doctrine which would require the mass communication corporate shills to offer equal time to opposing viewpoints. Combs doesn't come within light years of opposition to Hannity.
