IMPEACH BUSH BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE !

It's finally time to exercise our lawful constitutional right to Impeach George W Bush for literally ripping up the Constitution ~ a constitution he swore to protect ~ in his headlong dash toward International and domestic moral failure as well as worldwide condemnation: Allen L Roland

I think its time to remind my readers ~ each president recites the following oath, in accordance with Article II, Section I of the U.S. Constitution:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
There is nothing in that oath about protecting the Nation against the so called " War on Terror " which both George W Bush and Dick Cheney are fond of saying in their rationalizations for their ongoing unconstitutional abuses of power.
George W. Bush’s Impeachable Offenses
December 19, 2005

http://www.independent.org/newsroom/article.asp?id=1639
Ivan Eland summarizes  Bush's well documented impeachable offenses with this comment ~ " Finally, the president’s policies on detainees in the “war on terror” probably qualify as impeachable offenses. The Bush administration decided that the “war on terror” exempted it from an unambiguous criminal law and international conventions (which are also the law of the land) preventing torture and inhumane treatment of prisoners.
President Bush usually gets the Attorney General or the White House Counsel to agree with his usurpation of congressional and judicial powers, but, of course, who in the executive is going to disagree with their boss? According to the Washington Post, the Bush administration describes the president’s war making power under the Constitution as “plenary” ~ meaning absolute. The founders would roll over in their graves at this interpretation of a document that was actually designed to limit the presidential war power, resulting from their revulsion at the way European monarchs easily took their countries to war and foisted the costs ~ in blood and treasure ~ on their people. Conservative Bob Barr, a former Congressman from Georgia who was quoted in the Post, said it best: “The American people are going to have to say, ‘Enough of this business of justifying everything as necessary for the war on terror.’ Either the Constitution and the laws of this country mean something or they don’t. It is truly frightening what is going on in this country.”
The time for action is now ~ and there is no change without action. Dennis Kucinich yesterday introduced an impeachment resolution in the House and let's demand that it be heard, voted on and let us note who votes against it in November.
Congress must now stand up and be counted for our Constitution is truly in peril ~ or they will be rightfully seen as just as guilty as George W Bush.
Democratic Rep. Dennis Kucinich took to the House of Representatives floor on Monday evening to introduce a 35-count resolution to impeach President George W. Bush. Kucinich claimed Bush "fraudulently" justified the war on Iraq and misled " the American people and members of Congress to believe Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction so as to manufacture a false case for war." "President George W. Bush, by such conduct, is guilty of an impeachable offense warranting removal from office," Kucinich said.
We can be sure Kucinich will come under furious attack by the White House, the Republican Party, the Corporate Media, and even Bush Democrats. So let's inundate Congress with emails and calls showing our full support for Rep. Kucinich's Articles of Impeachment!

It is possible to enter a battle with no guarantee.

Now is the time.  The past was the time.  These pieces of filth are dangerous as hell.

Conyers himself answered, so told him he is most guilty now

Jay Janson reporting that during Kucinich's impeachment bill address,

I called Conyers' D.C. number as VFP mail asked, thinking I would get
his voice mail as it was already evening.

To my surprise Conyers himself answered, so I just politely told him
that I and millions of Americans have come to believe that he is more
responsible than Bush or anyone else for the all the loss of life in
the continuing wars of occupation, because he Conyers is blocking the
impeachment process the only hope Americans have to use
constitutional law to end the wars, and to prosecute the Bush
administration.

Conyers, speaking very slowing repeated me, "Let me get this
straight, you are saying that I am responsible for the wars
now..........."
I argued the point politely but firmly and we talked
back and forth as he kept saying, "why don't you let me hear the
man"
..... and I kept saying sure go ahead but Conyers seemed truly taken aback and therefore interested in what I was saying to him as a member of the Veterans For Peace, and he kept talking to me. He asked for my telephone # and arefully repeated it and said we would call me. He said it twice, with emphasis. He mentioned that he liked to answer his phone himself.

Just thought other members might like to know how worthwhile it is to
call Conyers.

At one stage in the conversation, I mentioned how many millions of
Americans there were, honest Americans, not capitalists, certainly
not communists who realize most of our elected officials are not
worth talking to and that was why we call him, as someone we hope is
worth talking to. (this is a line from Dancing With Wolves)

happy about VFP efforts,
jay janson

Repeating VFP ACTION ALERT

TELL CONYERS TO MEET WITH VETERANS
Call Representative John Conyers - Tell him that at this point he, John Conyers blocking impeachment, is more guilty than anyone, Bush, Pelosi etc., for tomorrow's deaths and maiming of Iraqis. 202-225-5126
John Conyers, is more guilty than anyone, even Bush and Pelosi if he continues to block impeachment. Call Representative Conyers (202-225-5126) For with an impeachment, the wars would end and many of our Iraqi brothers and sisters would not be killled during the ongoing U.S. occupation war.Call, and whether or not Conyers calls me back, I will call him again!

Call Conyers! 'Just Do It!'
