The following letter was sent to both McCain and Palin on August 1st both electronically and by mail.  Palin's office responded on August 3rd, I have included that at the end.

John McCain

Presidential Candidate

P.O. Box 16118
Arlington, VA 22215

August 1, 2008

Mr. McCain:

I will be very honest, that to date, I find both you and your opponent both horrible selections as the next President of the United States.

Quite frankly, from what I see and hear, contrary to what the press tells us, most of the nation and thus the voters feel the same way.  Neither of you offer anything but more of the same.

This country is likely in the worst financial predicament precluding World War II and it is the belief of the nation that neither of you have the capability to dig our way out of it.

At this point, it is likely that you will lose to Obama, simply because you have failed to attract as many voters". You don't have anything new to offer, or perhaps it should be that you offer less than he does, which is little at best.

However, that said, let me offer you a suggestion.

If you put Governor Sarah Palin on your ticket as Vice President, my comment would simply be"-

You will have already won the election and will be the next President.
