I Remember Feeling As If I Had Let Everyone Down- Strike Updates

by chris rice

Tell A Friend

There has never been a one day revolution.

When our September strike didn't shut down the country, it was assumed that the strike had failed.  But it was years after the Founding Fathers dumped tea into the harbor before the Brits left.  And the same was true for Ghandi in India, the Solidarity movement in Poland, etc.

To clarify the nature of the struggle we're in, VoteStrike.com has web-published "a history of strikes".   Explaining the history of striking for change, we review the revolts of ancient Rome and the more recent Solidarity movement.  Find it here at OpEdNews as well as at VoteStrike.com and VoteStrike.org

Our strategy is simple: non-violent non-compliance.  Read the details at OpEdNews and at VoteStrike web sites.

As long as corporations have more power in the affairs of our government than 'We The People'- we will be on strike.  This strategy is highlighted in Zeitgeist; these Youtube channelstruckers shut downs, and has gained over 50 known endorsements.

VoteStrike does not require your membership.  Instead, we would like to join your cause.   A revolution of The People can only be brought about by uniting.  We want to assist in promoting your events through our websites, blogs, forums and social networks.  Send us your flyer for free posting here at OpEdNews, as well as our VoteStrike network and all our 'joined-in-the-cause' subscribers.

We believe in the power of a united 'We The People'.

We believe that We The People can recreate a government of and by The People.

We believe that the corporate control of our elections and the erroneous legislative process have brought down our Republic.
(We have a wealth of documentation at VoteStrike.com which clearly exposes the breaking down of America at the hands of the relatively few.)
Now, we are at a crossroads.  Every patriot of our once great Republic must make a decision.  When is enough finally enough?  We at VoteStrike.com and OpEdNews have decided 'enough' has come and gone long ago. We are now committed to unite and take back our government, our rights, our Constitution!
We are calling on citizens to take to the streets Oct. 11th for an international protest against torture, illegal wiretaps, the FISA corporate protection bill, etc.
And Nov. 2nd to the 5th we are promoting a General Strike, which date was first suggested by author Naomi Wolf and then again by Youtube channel Stick187.
Each strike draws in more and more people from around the country and around the globe. We are working toward drawing enough attention- person by person - until millions of fed up Americans literally 'Shut 'Em Down' and take back America!  If you're ready to say enough is enough,  join our strike this Nov. 2-5th, no school, no work, no shopping, NO MORE BAIL~OUT$!

Whether you call it the world financial structure, the U.S. culture of waste, or the ability of the common man to make a decent living, the system is broken. It's time for the common man to go on strike. Join or support the March on Washingon (more...)

Wow thanks Jeff

They won't let me quit. But then how could you, they've left us with no choice but to push back. When Clinton was elected it was like all of the protest stopped. Or rather got very quiet. I fear the same will happen if Obama is elected. People will think it's ok to trust the government again. But it's never safe to trust the government and when politicians are just puppets for corporations we must fear our own government.

CONTELPRO was not an isolated incident or paranoia. The stock market crash is not a conspiracy theory IT WAS AN INSIDE JOB.

CNN reporters have been found to be listed on the Terrorism Watch List. Reporters have been arrested, protesters charged with terrorism. Citizens and active duty military have been and continue to be spied on by the NSA. (Wiretapping 'We Can Believe In')

So what choice do they leave us.

Thanks for the comment it's greatly appreciated.
