The daily economic bloodletting we are witnessing around us is not solely the result of the fall of the U.S. subprime market or of the U.S. banking sector generally, as some would have us believe. It is not solely the result of the global market's loss of confidence in worthless commercial paper and bundled debt. 
Rather, what we are seeing is the end result of a long period of political and financial manipulation by a global elite known to themselves as the "Illuminati" (though none are illuminated) and the "New World Order."
They are responsible for what Michel Chossudovsky called "the worldwide scramble to appropriate wealth through 'financial manipulation' [which] is the driving force behind this crisis. It is the source of economic turmoil and social devastation." (1)
Perhaps, in the face of the global financial meltdown, we are now ready to hear the truth about them, where for years we have thought that truth fantastic or conspiratorial.
President Eisenhower warned the world against them in his "Farewell Address to the Nation" on January 17, 1961. He called them the "military-industrial complex."
"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals so that security and liberty may prosper together." (2)
Only a matter of months later, President John F. Kennedy also warned us against them, calling them a "secret society":
"For we are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies primarily on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence, on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day. It is a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly-knit, highly-efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific and political operations.
"Its preparations are concealed, not published. Its mistakes are buried, not headlined. Its dissenters are silenced, not praised. No expenditure is questioned. No rumor is printed. No secret is revealed." (3)
This global elite conducts its business through organizations like the Bilderberg, the Trilateral Commission, and the Council for Foreign Relations.
Some say it is centred in the United States; others in Europe. It includes among its numbers an unlikely coalition of people from all backgrounds - ex-Nazis sit down with Jews in their deliberations, as well as some members of European royalty, etc. It is ruthless in its methods. Most of us have no idea of the formidable opponent it represents to the freedom-loving society that we profess to uphold. Our very naivete and complacency are what make it strong.
The Illuminati have infiltrated and exert varying degrees of control over armed forces, intelligence agencies, police forces, government departments, banks, financial houses, the media, and other institutions.
Today they are called the "deep state" and "shadow" or "secret government." Opposing them cost President Kennedy his life and many other brave men and women, their lives as well.
Some of their war crimes and crimes against humanity have been exposed and condemned in international tribunals such as the International Criminal Tribunal for Afghanistan. (4) Others are currently being investigated by such panels as the Steering Committee to pursue the prosecution for war crimes of President Bush and culpable high-ranking aides after they leave office, Jan. 20, 2009. (5)
Their reach is global and tenacious. It is imperative that we unmask this secret state and, through legal and non-violent means, overturn it. The first step in doing that is to catalogue as many of their crimes as are known. Hopefully this will assist those who are planning to prosecute President Bush and other members of the cabal.
The crimes listed below are known to me. Others could probably add many more to the list and I invite them to do so.

The nuclear trigger has been pulled on us several times over the decades. We are the Living Dead. They ain't too sweet and when they got their hands on the tools with which they could exterminate us in total with, (Nuclear weapons) they did it. We are the Living Dead. Most of the crimes you listed, I was aware of, some were new to me. I just recently (2 years ago) became aware of this shadow government. My initial awakening came through watching "America Freedom to Fascism". Since retiring 18 months ago, I have spent my days and nights research this evil force. I joined a Ron Paul meetup group and a 911 truth group (both have since disbanded). This battle goes beyound left vs right politics; this is a war for the souls of humanity. This evil group has had an agenda going back thousands of years and we are now entering the final phase. The first step in this war must be to end their funding, by abolishing the central bankers (The Federal Reserve), which has caused these recessions, wars, and much of the evil going on worldwide. They are very smart, devil-occult worshipping, and incestuous, who believe they are ordained to rule the world, with us as their slaves (those who are left after they mass murder 80% of the population. These could well be the final war of good v.s evil. I agree, Ronheri. Sounds like we both have uncovered the same sad tale. I have, by the way, thought of many more indications of our future under the Illuminati, since writing the article - doing away with people's pensions and benefits plans, busting unions, turning health care into a for-profit business (don't forget I live in a country that has universal medicare), attempting to steal American Social-Security funds, planning to take over my country (Canada) through a spurious "Security and Prosperity Partnership," corrupting Members of Congress, stationing missiles near the Russian border, threatening Iran with nuclear annihilation - it's hard to stop once one gets the overall picture. People must see the gestalt - that is what is so important. The name used for this cabal is not important. The fact that the CIA did this crime and the military did that is not important. One needs to see the overall pattern. Hopefully this current financial crash has awakened us from our complacency. We have our work cut out for us, but this cabal cannot survive the light of public attention and that's what we have to focus on them. Please allow me to use this comment to address a few more matters discussed offline. Someone asked me about the tsunami. I have no absolute certainty on it which is why I said "possibly." But an employee of one of the Australian agencies that monitor seismic events watched the seismograph the day of the tsunami. He would have expected to see evidence of rumbles, an earthquake, and then aftershocks. Instead what he saw was one large spike, consistent with a thermonuclear blast. He also wrote that NOAA (I believe) misreported the location of the event by many miles and that he knew that the Indian seismographers were also aware of the misrepresentation. It would surely be an easy matter to confirm this from the seismographic records of that day - although one would have to be on guard against further falsification of data. A lot would be at stake here. I also would like to say that I gave three examples of "strange bedfellows" in my article - ex-Nazis, Jews, and royalty (Jews and European royalty fought the Nazis) - but I did not mean somehow to suggest that individuals from these three groups were the only bedfellows. The cabal is composed of all kinds of people; these were simply an ironic threesome on the surface of things. And, no, I do not subscribe to anti-Semitic representations of the situation. And, no, I do not think every act of God or nature is an act of the Illuminati. Only where credible evidence of malfeasance begins to surface would I begin to take notice. An act of God is an act of God. Finally: No, I am not paranoid. I am simply interested in that most powerful of matters - the truth. Military Industrial Complex
Thank you, Steve, for another insightful and thought-provoking article. John Judge of COPA (Coalition On Political Assassinations) tells the story that the original draft of Eisenhower's speech referenced the "Military Industrial Intelligence Complex", but he was forced/persuaded to remove the Intelligence part before delivering the speech. Great editorial
I belong to a very mainstream internet social network site that I post on and stop in on occassionally to check on the heartbeat of America. Believe me, you would be considered absolutely crazed and paranoid by most Americans. Few of us can see the truth and few can see the larger picture that these events construct. Most Americans are propagandized into complacency and preoccupied with cultish religious objectives. My position has always been that these people, these 5,000 or so elites, will win right up until the end because the plans won't be apparent until then. Until mankind is truly enslaved people are too pacified with American Idol, work, school and other endeavors. They are also "dumbed down" considerably. I was listening to a radio audio tonight and though I haven't checked the accuracy of this statement I believe it and it was that the "intellect of Americans is at its lowest level since the late 1800s" which explains quite a bit. Ramsheyi, I think you're making a number of points here. Allow me to treat them one by one. Undoubtedly Israel sees itself as the centre of the global cabal, conducts operations in the U.S., and is influential, as you say. Undoubtedly Russia, the U.S., England, and China also see themselves as the centre of the global elite. (Please note that China's cabal is not considered part of the white-supremacist Illuminati.) There is a very shadowy German intelligence unit called the Deutsche Verteidigungs Dienst or DVD, Dachau, which Chris Story calls the "successor of the Nazi Abwehr" or German intelligence organization, that also considers itself the secret centre of it all. And we have not even touched on the role assigned by themselves to the various mafias - Russian, Italian, Chinese, and so on. I am primarily referring here to the cabal which has its hand on the nuclear trigger, which could be seen as the American-centred Illuminati. It is not a settled question whether the Americans themselves or the Bilderberg Europeans are in charge of this group. Does Israel control it? Israel has leverage over the U.S. cabal because it does a lot of American weapons research that could not be done on American soil and does a lot of American bidding, militarily. It has outstanding IOUs, so to speak. But I doubt, if push came to shove, that Israel would be found to possess as much clout over the American Illuminati as you suggest, witness its unsuccessful attempts (to date) to get the United States to bomb Iran. Zeitgesit Addendum looks at the picture systemically and avoids discussion of the various cabal groups, but it does a very good job of laying out the mechanisms by which it operates. "Let us be precise?" The global cabal deals in secrecy. It is not easy to "be precise" about it. That has always been the problem faced by the investigator of cabals or false-flag operations like 9/11 and 7/7: how to be precise about matters that are shrouded in secrecy. Cut off the Israeli arm and the whole thing would fall? I'd like to think it was that easy. but I don't. That view is based on the metaphor that the cabal has one head. Cut it off and the tentacles are useless. I dion't think it has only one head any more than "the mafia" has only one head and would be useless if that "head" were cut off. I think it correct to say that people in cabals are always trying to consolidate their own power; greed and a lust for power draws people to cabals. I'm afraid we have more work ahead of us than simply identifying and prosecuting "one head." But perhaps you know something I'm not aware of. What I have said here is my understanding. (PS. I have been on this site for 4 years and I always did my best to support the inquisitive perceptions. I have also written extensively about Zionism, Jewsih issues, war, whatever. I am an engineer, I know technical stuff, I do have my own version about 9/11. But folks, grow up. Your perception is not valid. Not that there are no people like that and even organizations. But there is no illuminati plot and no ' cabal'. One pf the best proofes of this is that such perceptions are eternal- the articles like this were publsihed in France in 19th Century ( there it was a Jesuit plot), in Russia in 18th Century ( frankmasones) and now (cabal of the Zionists and frankmasons led by baron Schiff), in Germany under Nazis, in England, you name it. In all those cases the bad ones were ' after us, good guys'. Well, in many cases it resulted in the desired changes but not for a long time. For some strange reason the bad guys happened to be more and more among the former good guys and now Lenin is considered an agent of Illuminati, Trotskyi too. I am so sorry, folks. There are people who belong and they play their games. But there is no one ' cabal'. There are many. And what is even sadder- in many cases we are a part of those. You don't have to believe me. But please, be aware that the one and only big cabal existing is an international alliance of the Horses' asses. No, I do not mean any of you. I mean you give them too much credit. There are three methods of population reduction in effect right now. Control of food, Control of medications, and War. It is estimated that the planet is capable of sustaining 2 - 2.5 billion people; currently, the population is nearly 6 billion and rising. Codex Alimentarius originated in the early '60s and is scheduled for full implementation by December 31, 2009. Implementation will place control of food and medication in the hands of a central, international group with the capability of determining who lives and who dies. Two US Wars, military conflicts on every continent, people dying every minute from preventable disease, food shortages in specific areas around the globe. It's been happening. It's happening today.
